We played Hibs preseason last year and it was limited to 2200. Can see Falkirk getting 1000 tickets.

Imagine it would be hard to segregate without giving us at least 700 tickets

We didn't segregate against Raith Rovers and we don't even segregate against Bo'ness, so I'd be amazed if this is segregated.

But you should all feel free to enjoy the grass banking...

Think the timing will be due to BBC scheduling. The other ties all kicked off then too.

Correct... program starts 7pm > 5mins build-up > match starts 7:05pm > match ends ~8:55pm > ~5mins analysis > program ends 9pm.

Credit to BBC tbf. Right picks in R1-R3.

I am guessing the grass bank will be out of bounds and that will be the reduction in the capacity.

Authorities aren’t overly fans of grass banking, think they only allow 1 or 2 deep on it.

That said capacity would have been calculated before pre-season so the total capacity shouldn’t have changed since the hibs game. Any reductions for this match in particular would be due to segregation and space for tv crew/cameras. Bonnyrigg restricted access to some areas stating the use of floodlights as a factor, it’s possible you effectively have a ‘daylight’ capacity and one for night games, there might be areas that are considered to not have ample lighting for spectators.

Varies between local authorities IIRC?

Bonnyrigg's were well-utilised v Buckie.

EDIT:

The Scottish Cup third-round tie between Linlithgow Rose and Falkirk will be broadcast live on the BBC Scotland channel. The match will take place on Friday, 22 November, with a 19:05 kick-off.

Ray McKinnon's League One Falkirk, who are two-time winners of the competition, enter at this stage while Lowland League Rose defeated University of Stirling on Sunday.

Quickly checked the green guide. Didn’t see any specific mention of grass(tho it was a very quick look). What was mentioned is they don’t think standing without crush barriers should be more than 4 deep. There is certainly variance between authority’s tho.

Also just cos it’s part of the capacity calculations doesn’t necessarily mean clubs enforce capacities of each particular areas on match day. Just cos you planned on a tightly packed terrace with not many standing on banking doesn’t mean that actually happens.

Edit- talbot got the grass banking vs kelty, 500 capacity for that area but the talbot fans ended up pretty spread out.

They had one side. Side behind the dugouts; home/neutral fans were on the opposite side to the dugouts.

I see.

Looking at the highlights. Doesn’t look like the crowd end up more than the 4/5 deep, and even then that’s with nobody wanting to stand behind the goal. http://
