Alloa v Queens

Recommended Posts

We're on a decent wee run in the league too, unbeaten in three. It was a courageous effort to come back and snatch a deserved point in Inverness last week. Our biggest issue is without doubt lack of depth. As such, Flannigan's return from suspension today is a big boost. Hope there are no fresh injuries and that the players who have been struggling are closer to full fitness. Will be tough but a performance like the last home game would give us a good chance.

Anybody questioning if Dobbie is done needs to see that goal today. A vintage Dobbs goal. Absolute peach default_biggrin.png

Strange half. It could be argued Alloa don't deserve to be 2 down, they have passed it well, been in control for large parts but outwith a scramble in the box where we somehow kept it out, they have done nothing threatening and we could have had another couple.

We've looked lethargic in large parts and it's been day and night from last week. But since going 2 up it's looked more like past week. Our defence has looked solid again and it's been as good a performance from Kidd I can recall. He cleaned up well and played a couple of decent balls forward. El Bak has looked dangerous as well. My only gripe is the midfield need to give the defence an out ball more. Too often it's been booted because no one is wanting it.

Plenty character in the Alloa side as per usual. Considering our recent results against you I would have taken a point before kick off. Both teams unbeaten runs continue.

Surely you can't be happy with a draw when we were 2 goals up and in control of the game

We had enough chances to win two games and to throw away a two goal lead as cheaply as that was dreadful.

Alloa passed the ball well but created virtually nothing.

When you win 3 games in a row in this league it is inevitably a huge “game changer” and to squander two points in that fashion is a big downer on the back of a great performance last week.

Never in control of the game two up against the run of play. A draw a fair result in the end. The ref missed a blatant penalty at start of second half for Alloa.

Queens gonna Queens.

Probably a point gained rather than two lost in the grand scheme of things.
Gutted we only got 1 point totally played QoS of the park in the first 30 mins to lose two goals in a min disaster . but showed some balls to get back into it . looking forward to tues now bring on Dundee need to stop McGowan playing and its a home win by one

Against the run of play in as much as us having less possession? A draw was probably fair but we could have just as easily have won that game 4/5-0 on another day.

[emoji38] behave. You had a lot of possession but apart from a 2 minute mental lapse you never troubled our defence. A scramble in the first half excluded.

We, on the other hand could have been out of sight had it not been for some poor finishing/good goalkeeping. Not sure what game your sponsors were watching giving the motm to O'Hara. McDonald kept Alloa in it. You had a whole 3 shots on target to our 9 (and that doesn't include Paton hitting wide where it was a stick-on goal if he gets it on target).

We can't grudge Alloa a point but there is only one side who will be gutted not to win after that and it's us. Our fans groaned at FT, your fans cheered. Says it all really.

Agree, our Keeper was deffo MotM, but which team were the most wasteful?

2 goals from 3 shots or 2 from 9 shots?
