Hamilton v Hibernian

Oh my. A day out in a shopping centre car park in darkest Lanarkshire, watching twenty-two cloggers duke it out on a nasty pitch while contending for SPFL mediocrity of the year. Hibs are slightly ahead in the enthusiasm stakes, having somehow narrowly failed to lose three games in a row now, the highpoint of the season so far. Scotty Allan and Paul Heckingbottom are understandably sitting this one out, as are any Hibees who have any sense (the population of Hamilton sitting it out is a given).  The Met Office is forecasting a grey, dismal day interspersed with light rain around kickoff, in keeping with the tone of the event. I fully expect turgid, unwatchable football, a poor result that satisfies neither team, and for everyone to have blanked this game from their memories by 5:30 on Saturday afternoon.

I can't fucking wait, meself.

That Hibs bench looks more dangerous than the players starting.

(Doidge hat-trick now incoming)

As for our line-up from the starting 11 I'll take a guess at a 4231 formation -

Fon Williams

Hughes Stubbs Easton McMann

Gogic Martin

Miller Alston Smith

Ogkmpoe

It's not that I think that John Beaton is a bad referee, but his churchgoing habits are clearly clouding his judgment when he referees Hibernian FC, the Irish club of Scotland.

As DM once correctly said, we have nothing against those of the protestant faith, it's just that they are sneaky and untrustworthy by their very nature.
