I get that all of the central defenders are terrible, but even just Berra for numbers would surely be better than calling up a crap winger and a crap midfielder as a left back. Time to start invoking the rule to stop them playing for their clubs after the internationals. Also no replacement for Cooper? Surely someone like Liam Lindsay is due a chance? Nothing at stake or campaign over then premier league clubs keep there players to avoid any unnecessary injuries? If Clarke is ever going to do much then he needs to practice systems and build team spirit which won’t happen if key players don’t turn up.
