Genuinely gutted to not see Tierney. Think it would be a big gamble to throw him into the Playoff at RB now.

Earlier this week we looked ahead to the squad that should be starting the Playoff - let me know what you think - https://www.thetartanscarf.com/post/scotland-s-playoff-squad

He wasn’t born in Scotland, so can see why he’s not that fussed and is prioritising EPL.

Didn’t know he was born in the Isle of Man, in theory being born there means you could have played for any of the home nations I suppose

An interesting read. There really is a staggering lack of international experience in the squad, so few caps even in the midfield where we have decent options let alone in front and behind.

He plays for fucking Australia you idiot

So he's such a superstar, with such obvious talent, so clearly the greatest Scottish player to ever lace up a pair of boots, yet no professional involved in the Scotland setup has ever deemed him worth enough attention to stop him turning out for an absolute GIANT like Australia?

Aye, cool.

Fair play for getting so many bites for so long. You lost any credibility with me when i tore you a new one a few years back regarding Mario Balotelli

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Has there been anything official on Steven Fletcher or Tom Cairney?

Fletcher was quoted as saying after Clarke's appointment that he wanted to speak to him to discuss his future.  He's not been selected since, but no official "I have retired" announcement.  No idea about Cairney.

First I’ve heard Fletcher mentioned since Clarke took over.

Can’t see Cairney being called up unless there’s a massive injury crisis with our current midfield.

Sounds like Fletcher isn't going to be coming back if he is trying to manage injuries that limit his appearances.

If we qualify for the Finals, I can foresee a whole range of miraculous recoveries from previously restricting injuries!!!

Well I'm convinced then, surely he must be the greatest Scot in a position we're fucking shite in, if he played for us and then ended up defecting to Australia without a fight.

It's irritating that it's taken so long to get Cooper and McKenna playing together. Hopefully things looks less chaotic in these two games, helped by having two centrebacks who are decent in the air (both better than Mulgrew anyway).

If they play well together then Mulgrew should be sitting on the bench for the playoff games. He's probably past his use by date now but having some experience in the squad isn't a bad thing.

Has Clarke dismissed the stoke interest then so he will still be here for these games

Part of me would find it hilarious if he were to dump the national team for a team bottom of the championship.

Not going to happen though
