The pitch has at least made this funny and therefore more entertaining than the first half, but this is surely being abandoned soon.

At least stopping and coming back tomorrow will give Scott McTominay a day to reflect on looking out of his depth against some Sammarinese amateurs.

They have pitchside reporters who will be able to hear the officials discuss it.
