We're only playing San Marino but so far I've seen Shankland get himself in a lot of positions to score but it's cool let's write him off at international level just because he currently plays in the Championship. Spot on.

I am writing him off because he is not anywhere near good enough. If Fletcher and Martin are retired then it makes more sense he is there. But lets not pretend Shankland is as good as Fletcher or Martin.

Their keeper pulled off a cracking save for one and his shots were blocked. He should have scored but at least he's been in those positions to get those chances.

Is there genuine talk about this being abandoned or is it just #bantz ?

Nothing on the radio.

I'd doubt it anyway as it's been dry up until kick off for about 24 hours.

Game has passed Shankland by but San Marino are almost non existent as a team. In a bizarre way he is probably trying to work out something that isnt there. However he has had zero impact.

No wonder San Marino have shipped 9-0 to Belgium and Russia.  Attrocious. Possibly the worst I have seen of them.

It will take a Noah flood to.abandon this. Game is over just a matter of seeing it out.

I think getting the experience in games like this will make him better. I'm not saying he is as good as Fletcher as he's had a great career and made it down south at several clubs where many Scottish players have went and failed. I'm not attacking you, if you'd rather have Fletcher/Martin then fair enough that's your opinion but I'd rather we focus on developing players like Shankland. I'd much rather have Griffiths back if he can get himself back on track.

Griffiths looks a bit more fitter

We waited nearly 50 years for a Scotland player to score a hat trick and now we’ve had FIVE in the last two or three years!!!
When was the last time someone scored FOUR, because he probably will!!!
