In a bizarre way he is probably trying to work out something that isnt there. However he has had zero impact. No wonder San Marino have shipped 9-0 to Belgium and Russia. Attrocious. I'm not saying he is as good as Fletcher as he's had a great career and made it down south at several clubs where many Scottish players have went and failed. I'm not attacking you, if you'd rather have Fletcher/Martin then fair enough that's your opinion but I'd rather we focus on developing players like Shankland.
