Saints vs Fakes

Recommended Posts

Started the game really badly. Mullen and andreu out wide aren’t going to hurt anyone. St Johnstone have had a few half chances but can’t remember hladky having a save to make.

1-0 and can only improve 2nd half id like to see morias or durmus on to add a bit of pace on the wings.

FT 2-0

Yas.

Thought we were good second half. Controlled the game, scored one more, should have scored two or three more. Easy and well deserved three points in the end.

Thought Broadfoot was fantastic (again) and Mullen and Obika, a goal each from our two starting strikers, what more you want?

Our home record has actually been good this season. Five games, two wins two draws one defeat, one goal conceded, which was a wonder free kick against Rangers.

We need to improve going forward and on the road, but overall there is clearly progression under Goodwin. We are 9th and that’s about where we should be, higher than we were at any point last season.

Thought the visitors were a disgrace, second half particularly. I’ve seen a lot of St Johnstone teams over the last 20 years but that has to be the worst. I was expecting them to come out all guns blazing second half and really put us under pressure. They didn’t, they didn’t look interested and rolled over, pathetic. Unless there is major changes at that football club they will finish 12th. I hope there isn’t.

Got what we deserved. No arguments.

Defence kills us but the attackers went into hiding in the second half too.

This team is relegating us.

Lot of setbacks in matches for Saints this season and in situations like today where the team had been playing well. First time really that they've completely wilted though. Atrocious second half.

Some decent footballers at the club but the moment, we aren't a good team.

If any team needs a boost when they’re struggling, we’re the side to play.

St mirren had scored something like 3 goals all season.. up steps a striker who hasn’t scored and he bags an overhead kick!

Better team for the first half hour, lose a goal and collapse. Second half we did next to nothing other than a couple of O’Halloran runs.

Kerr did okay against obika, but the big lad completely bullied Duffy. Obviously it was noted, as most of the second half he played on Duffy’s side and they caused problems with just about every attack with balls over the top.  Even when our centre backs won the header, it was never a clean clearance due to the pressure they were under- Stevie May take note - and it was invariably st mirren’s hungrier centre midfielders who picked up the second ball.

That second half was worryingly bad. For all our superior players, St mirren were everything we are not. Organised, fight for each other, and look like a team rather than a bunch of individuals.

Did our midfield win a tackle all game?
