It allows diplomacy to continue even when countries are on the verge of war, if the rules are respected, which they usually are. The Chief Constable of Northampton Police is writing to the ES Embassy in London. Isn't great that all these cnuts can come on to the media, in the hope that their woolly words will make them look good and seen to be doing something? As for Northamptonshire Police, when they interviewed Ann Sacoolas, did they just accept her story that she had no intention of returning to the US? Couldn't she have been charged then released on bail and made to surrender her passport? The daft bint drove away from an American Base on automatic and on the wrong side of the road, thinking she was still at home. Happens regularly in the Highlands unfortunately.
