I’m not mad on hoppy ones and also steer clear of ones that are 0.5%. Brewdog Nanny State might suit you. The peroni one too. Heineken Zero is probably closest to a “normal” lager.

Sell a decent selection of UK beers but also lots from the continent. Oedipus are good in Amsterdam. Smurph
If it's my top 5 supermarket/beerwolf52 beers to skull in the pub/park/house then: Tennent's (The OG. The best.) Schneider Weisse Tap 7 (Best commercial weizen imo) Black Flag - Juiceadelic (Alcoholic fruit juice at 8.2%, smashable and just a really good fucking time) Northern Monk - Faith (Best brewery in the UK IMO. Their Patron's Project series is unrivalled for what it does for beer/art/community) Drygate - Orinoco (Gold for best stout in Scotland for several years. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Smooth as f**k and just glorious. They did a peanut butter version on tap only which was phenomenal)

The bierkoning is great and aptly named. Quite a few micro breweries have popped up recently in Amsterdam, Two Chefs, Butchers Tears are both decent, next time you're over you should check out Troost, they have 3 locations in the city, good selection of beers and they do good food. I see you're a fan of Schneider weiss, nice one, i love having one of them when I'm in Gollem, in fact when everything opens up again I'm heading there for a a Schneider. Proost!
Hampden Diehard
I ordered a mixed case from Strathaven Ales - outstanding. Their Amber and Light are terrific. Fairly old fashioned (and that's a big plus!) Scottish beer.

I've never heard of them but will try and check them out next time I'm over. Been to 't IJ and De Prael before but would prefer something less traditional. Love going to Arendsnest but will check out Gollem too. Can't wait to go back over.

Gollem is my favourite bar in Amsterdam, had many a good night in there, they have 3 locations the one on Raamsteeg is the best one. The folk that own Arendsnest have a couple of other bars, there's Beer Temple just off Dam, they specialise mainly in American craft beers, the other is Beer loves Food just off Leidseplein i like it in there great selection of beers and good bar food. All this talk of beer is making me thirsty. Edited May 15, 2020 by stevieKTID
