Midweek Fixtures

Tuesday

Newtongrange v Camelon

Wednesday

Sauchie v Penicuik

surely the sensible fixtures would have been Sauchie v Camelon and                     Newtongrange v Penicuik the fixture man has not been very kind to Camelon  or Penicuik. I will take a wild guess and suggest both crowds will be down

Yip Broxburn have a trip down the bypass on Tuesday to Dunbar.  Could be tight getting there on time

Newtongrange v Penicuik is on 16th November, an international weekend with no Premiership games so crowds will surely be higher than normal that day.

At least it’s a 7.30 KO. Ormiston midweeks have had 6.30 KO before - that would be tight from West Lothian.

Newtongrange v Penicuik is a derby game - clubs are grouped in sets of 4 then play the 6 games on the first day of the season, international weekends, New Year and Premiership winter break. Sets are Blackburn/Bo'ness/Broxburn/Linlithgow... Crossgates/Dundonald/HoB/Sauchie... Penicuik/Newtongrange/Whitehill+Jeanfield... Dunbar/Musselburgh/Tranent+Camelon.

While you'll get a lower crowd for Newtongrange v Camelon tomorrow than if it was Newtongrange v Penicuik... you would almost definitely get a lower combined total for Newtongrange v Camelon on such Saturdays, and Newtongrange v Penicuik on midweek, as vice versa. Newtongrange v Penicuik (Jan 12th) was their largest crowd last season by 38%.

you wouldnt want your most local games but could be closer like Blackburn or broxburn for us

You played Blackburn at home in the July midweek round - and are away to Broxburn on groundhop's Friday night. You can't be home to Broxburn this week as you don't have lights. You can't play Linlithgow as they'd bye in EQC R1 so played Aug 17th not this midweek. If you played Bo'ness now then Musselburgh couldn't play Newtongrange as they met in July midweek round.

I meant when the initial fixtures were made.

We had to go to Leith for an evening game last month.

We got on with it.

And so will everyone else

Penicuik had to go to Coldstream for a 6.30 ko last season and just got on with it my original point is the distance travelled
