Morton vs Pars Sat 5th October

Recommended Posts

A very difficult game to call. Dunfermline's squad on paper looks much stronger than their league position and they seem to be held back by a clearly terrible manager; from the televised Dundee game at least the likes of Dow and the addition of Kiltie could still cause our defence serious issues. Not convinced that Dunfermline's usually ropey defence at Cappielow would handle both Sutton and the Ironsball long throw-in experience either though.

2-2

He scored in the cup against Alloa. I watched him for the first time last week and I have to say he didn’t stand out really. Young Coley did more in five minutes as a sub. I do think he looks decent on the ball though in flashes.

VT is right we aren’t making the most of what we have.

Kiltie has been decent, he's just surrounded by panicky trash at the moment. You can tell he's got that bit of quality about him but unfortunately he's not good enough on his own to turn our shakey looking team into winners. I actually like the team Crawford's built but they look like they've not played football before. We all know then can, which is fine, but it's been far from good and things need to improve rapidly.

Pockets of the support already looking for  the chairman to relieve Stevie of his duties but that's one million miles off. A lose tomorrow and those pockets will only increase and we then have a similar situation to last season where we were hopeless and the fans wanted AJ out. Only thing this time is that the fans to love Stevie.

Looks like a 4231, again it's a lineup where there's absolutely plenty to like about it, that needs to transfer to the pitch though.

For Morton fans is Ramsbottom the Gk who was throwing them in at the start of the season?

Yes.

Only thing that has happened so far is that Morton should be ahead but Gill saved it when it looked easier to score. We are great at getting the ball in a promising position 25-30 yards from goal then passing it all the way back to the centre half or keeper then booting it long and losing possession. Total shite.
