Raith Against The Machine Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 In the first half, Falkirk's narrow midfield totally nullified ours, but since we switched to wingers at half time, McKinnon hasn't reacted. Absolutely night and day. Armstrong looks incredibly dangerous. Ref's just given a yellow for a very high tackle, sent Hendry spinning. We’re playing a definite 4-3-3 with Tidser just sitting in front of the defence, Louis on the right and Sammon on the left.Bit disappointed that Raith have had to change their formation there as they’ve been fucking shite. They’ve not been able to cope with our pressing and they’re just continually giving us the ball back. This is exactly how we should be playing this season, attacking and aggressive in our play.Michael Tidser comfortably having his best game for us so far he’s controlling everything from deep and some of his passing has been fantastic especially to feed Sammon for his goal. Gomis again getting everywhere in midfield his booking is giving me the fear though. McMillan missed a great chance to make it 3 hitting it right at the ‘keeper but think he’s been excellent so far really liking his movement and link up play though has been clearly elbowed twice by Davidson so far and both went unpunished.Felt sorry for McGurn for our first goal he made a cracking save from Telfer but was some hit from Louis from the edge of the box. Second goal was sexy as f**k though. Brilliant from Tidser to win the ball and release Sammon then it was all about his finish. Just shifting his body slightly and chipping and curling a shot right into far top corner. Second half we’ve been stinking so far. Sitting well too deep and letting Raith get back into it.
