Same old holiday routine. Most players sign a semi professional contract.
Should be playing to there contract. End of story. Can't take holidays when it suits.
Does messi's and other professionals take holidays during the season. During the the season being the operative word.

Semibeing the term to focus on. Messi etc get paid astronomical wages. Junior guys taking holidays during season will most likely get nae wages that week and if the club has so much of a problem they'd boot them out the door

They still sign a contract. If your a part time worker in every day employment you cannot just go on holiday at the drop of a hat or stag do.

And if contract is breached then they'd be out the door. Your every day job pays you a wage you live off of (sometimes barely) big difference.

I think you will find that as players under contract are covered by the same rules as their full-time jobs they are entitled to holidays which can only be taken when they would normally be working, so they would actually be in breach of contract if they didn't take time off. I understand fans don't like players to miss games, but quoting contractual obligations as a reason for dismissal is just wrong and ill informed.
