Life on Marrs? Posted September 26, 2019 Share Posted September 26, 2019 Working this weekend, so won't manage this game. Pity, as I've never been to the new Falkirk Stadium. I was at Brockville for the last league meeting between the sides, a 3-1 Falkirk win in 1997. Had a VIP day courtesy of a Falkirk director, and ended up this sports bar where the players went after the game (unfortunately I was the chauffer that day). Unfortunately the Falkirk stadium is nothing like Brockville. It’s a modern piece of wasteground with no atmosphere or any character. Arbroath, Livi, Dunfermline, Queens etc have all won it quite comfortably in recent years and I wouldnt class any of those sides at the time as world beaters. You know, that we would have to make allowances for how excited some would get at the prospect of their first "Cup Final" of the season.
