Fourthfar vs Raith - Saturday 28th

Recommended Posts

A better Forfar performance this week. Once he got his usual 5 minutes into the game lunge out the way, I thought Tapping had a very good game with some great, surprise, forward passes. Coupe giving it everything as usual surely merits regular starts. Impressed with McLean although he did go over a bit easy but a beautifully taken goal. Hope he thanked Dav for the assist. Good attacking midfield play and Forbes, ah Ross Forbes, had a couple of excellent passes and a great turn and run from halfway. Thought Forfar unlucky not to get a point.

Hope Vaughan is OK. Looked horrible when he went over.

The only case of play acting was that awful dive from number 10. Great to see Davo go right through him after.

Saw the full time element help today, we bossed the game as it went on in the second half, goal had been coming.

Excellent and deserved 3 points but tempered by the injury to Vaughan.Never known any other player to have such bad luck on the major injury front.Talented player who injury free is better than this division so hopefully he recovers from this one

Did I hear the Forfar young team singing about being “up to our knees in Brechin blood”? [emoji23] hilarious if true. The only think those yokels have been up to their knees in is slurry when mucking out the barn.

The only thing worse than losing today is the state of our stewards, they’re only interested in bothering the young fans in the enclosure corner when they’re done nothing wrong, especially the one who was trying to intimidate them for the entire 90 minutes.

Sadly they have the same mental age as most of the drummer boys.

Just had a message from a guy who was involved with medical side of things at Forfar today and he's saying it's a dislocated knee cap. Would still be serious but nowhere near as bad.

Certainly would be better than a new ligament problem, however, it’s a worrying development anyway if that’s what it is. It would suggest that either Vaughan’s knees have weakened from the previous injuries or are naturally susceptible to this issue when placing lateral forces on the knee. In either case, there would probably need to be some recovery time and work on strengthening the knee(s)  before his return, especially given the lateral game is a huge part of Vaughan’s skill set.

Irrespective of that, a genuine thank you to all the fans of other teams stopping by to offer best wishes for Vaughan’s recovery. It shows that below the bluster and crap, we all genuinely love the game and the players, whomever they play for. Right, now back to baiting each other!
