Hedgecutter
Annan away has to be the least appealing tie that Brechin could have been given, more so because we'll also be down there as underdogs for a league game the week before. Our cup record in recent years has been nothing less than atrocious (even against lower ranked teams), the only high point being a last minute winner at Buckie (after we went behind twice).

Yeah that's the not most appealing draw. Your past record in the cup hasn't been sterling (as of late) but hopefully this year is better and bolsters confidence for the league. All the best again Elgin this Saturday - will be a tough game. Doesn't feel too long ago you were mid L1 and even a championship side.

FairyBaws
Actually quite looking forward to Penicuik away, somewhere different, but a major banana skin tie for us.Hopefully we go there and get a good win, but by no means going to be an easy place to go and we must show Penicuik the upmost respect as they are definitely not a “non league diddy” they will be right up for it and feel like they could cause a major upset.

It's not a bad wee ground, Penicuik Park. It's like Stair Park, Stranraer, in that its in a public park. Wee bit of a squeeze in the sheds (down one side and at the back of one goal) so hopefully it won't rain. The Rookie Cookie get a good crowd who'll no doubt be partisan. Pitch is a bit bobbly- Penicuik lost their original ground in the early 1990s and were in abeyance for about a decade before securing a pitch in the public park, hence the uneven surface. Pies are decent. I've seen Penicuik at the start of the season, they're a pretty decent side. Edinburgh City leg-end and good guy Jordan Caddow plays for them.

Cheers for that, didn’t think they would’ve been in abeyance for so long in the recent past given their relative success and progression in recent years. Looking forward to this one for sure.
The Mantis
As you drive into Penicuik from the Edinburgh side there's a big Tesco on the left where Eastfield stood: The new park is just about 400m further in, before the town centre, on the right just after the road splits at Angle Park Service Centre.

TFW
Hope today sees a cracking cup tie at Beechwood Park between Auchinleck Talbot (from the Bronx) and Cove Rangers. Precautionary pitch inspection this morning passed the tie no problem and we hope Beechwood is a cauldron of noise today. Quite a number of games off in our region, and further afield today so expect the crowd to be swelled somewhat by neutrals. For anyone going from Cove today..... Our pie hut is superb, and you don't need to ask for easy terms as you do at home. Our hospitality is second to none, enjoy yourselves.
rhliston
Does it open on a Sunday [emoji3]No it does not I’m afraid. You will have a hard time getting anything to drink at Forthbank this Sunday, think you have to go to the cafe at the Peak to get a tea or coffee at halftime, as The Uni don’t have any catering facilities during games.

onecowden
I see Cove are taking defeat with their usual good grace !!! the match report on their website is hilarious [emoji23]Just read their report. They can’t help themselves. If you are on top you have to score. That’s not Talbots fault. They are incredibly insular. It will be interesting to see how they cope with defeats as they move up. My guess is it will take a while before they realise - sometimes you don’t win and it’s because you’re not good enough.
beaver1
Even a little nod towards a conspiracy. Rangers by name, Rangers by nature. "Ayrshire referee Kevin Graham could have sent off Talbot’s Stephen Wilson in the 53rd minute for blatantly kicking Cove skipper "

There number three was let off even though his was the worst. Also Talbot put on a spread for them after the game and not one player or official attended. Horrible club.

That’s embarrassing from them. Think they are so big time and have ideas way above their station. Glad you gave them a scudding.
