Stranraer v Falkirk, 21st September

Recommended Posts

Must win game for me, away form has been totally unacceptable and the players, and manager need to step up and deliver. Would go with the same formation and starting 11 as last week.

I'd happily take a one nil to set us up nicely for the game against east fife.

This looks as tough a game as we'll get

We ran Falkirk close back in July and we're probably not as bad as the table or Saturday's result would suggest, but as usual it's going to be a tight league from mid-table down. Any points we can get here would be massive.

Not sure if we'll change shape but I'd like to see Jinky Hilton and Andy Stirling on from the start. Big performance needed 🙏

Nah we need a convincing win and a good performance here. Even a scrappy win like the Montrose game is not acceptable. After our horrendous away performances so far we need to see much better.

Any dropped points however and McKinnon can get right into the sea.

Surely the biggest question of all is will we score a goal away from home for the first time this season?…
Going by the highlights of the game at Broadwood at the weekend we should be scoring a few. You imagine a rocket will have been lit under those players at full time though.

A performance on a par with Saturday for us and a win should come.

Well we cant get any worse I hope. Was disgusted with our performance and even if the ref favoured clyde big time it didnt hide the fact we were #@%*. Hoping for a response like we did against raith. Hopefully a good few bairns fans make the trip down the 77 like myself to boost the attendance as our town doesnt really give a f@ck at the moment. Even the old codgers at the games chase away our young fans trying to create some noise.

Well I’ll be there with the father in law for a start.
Given recent away performances I am not sure why though.....

First trip to Stranraer for me and first proper seaside away day too as I couldn't make Peterhead, what can we expect from the town/stadium?

Hopefully we can recreate the intensity from the first 30 minutes against Forfar and Ray doesn't go back to his bizarre narrow set up. I still don't think that a pairing of Sammon and McManus works so I'd like to see more of McMillan this week (even though he looked a fair bit off the pace on Saturday)

Need to start the way we did against Forfar especially with Stranraer presumably low on confidence! High tempo and moving the ball quickly. I’d probably start with the same team as last Saturday and knowing Ray he most likely will! What really confuses me is Connor and McManus are supposed to have pace? They don’t look particularly fast but that’s probably because everyone is sitting so deep against us.

Id say I have seen decent pace from Sammon but maybe McManus not so much. Sammon def needs a wee bit 10 yards to get the legs opened up tho [emoji23]

I remember McManus ripping us a new arsehole with his pace whilst at Raith a few seasons back.  Having Gasparotto and McCracken at centrehalf and Paul Watson at right back certainly didnt help mind you.
