Comfortable for Beith today, the first 90 seconds of the game were played in the Roy box and that set the tone for most of the game. If the "home" keeper hadn't pulled off a couple of good saves in the first half it would have been game over by the oranges. No attacking presence at all for Roy and a defence that was continually leaving Beith players in acres of space in and around the box meant the game was only ever going to end one way. The bizarre second goal that saw the defence back off and then back off some more before backing off even more from the runner.
