Gordon EF Posted September 14, 2019 Share Posted September 14, 2019 Great 3 points in awful conditions. Montrose had the wind at their backs in the first half but didn't do enough with it. Probably a bit rough on them to go in 1 down but Dunsmore took his chance well. Beat Campbell for pace to a loose ball and buried it. Montrose started the second half the better side and their goal was coming. For the sending off incident, I didn't immediately think it would be a red but Masson might have had his studs up. They were awful offensively-we were awful by our own recent standards- but we won and could of scored 6 in the second half whilst not playing well. As good as Dowds was last week he was poor this week- yet made the first and made the third. Wallace also poor- needs to look up when on the ball and his sitter was as bad as Dowds as he has so much time on a 121 when put thro by Dowds But hey we won and to stay too of the league after not playing our best is unbelievable. Last season we would of lost that! Dunsmuir was terrific again- Higgins also- the great thing about this team- is its a team- and every week different players are stepping up- by the way think Wallace and Dowds are great- but when not up to their usual standard no harm in giving the feedback( both probably had a hard week at work). Petrie is one of the best managers in the league and they have a few injuries to contend with. They started similar last year and look how it ended up.
