I can't answer them, because like you and everyone else, I don't know.

The bottom line is that Shankland has been called up whether you, I, or anyone else agrees or disagrees it really doesn't matter as the only one that matters is Steve Clarke.

Shankland may do brilliantly if given the chance or he may indeed look totally out of his depth (unlikely against San Marino), however there's no point in us arguing about something which we have no control over. I do get that you obviously don't rate him and don't believe he merits a call up and from my perspective I do rate him and do think he merits a call up based upon his form over the last 2 seasons and the fact that we have very little options currently available to us from an attacking perspective.

Who knows, time will tell..............

Might as well just bin the whole forum then 😏

Never mind his groin. He should be referred to a specialist about a footballing problem.

Which will probably see him miss out.
Ignoring the opinions on quality, has there ever been a nation so unlucky with call offs as we recently have with centre backs?
McKenna and Souttar would arguably be our first choice pairing but we’re well down the pecking order now with the amount of defensive injuries.

Torn between Ryan Jack being the natural anchor at the pivot of the midfield where he’s been the best player for rangers this year or being played at RB to replace the out of his depth ODonnell. Probably the latter with the strength in depth we have in the midfield area.

I reckon Palmer's worth another shot at RB inst as of shifting midfield players in there to see if they work.

I'd literally play anybody at right back than O'Donnell.  He seems a nice lad, but he's painfully out of his depth.  Palmer was written off after one game, but I don't think he looked any worse than O'Donnell in any of his dozen caps.  Ryan Jack would be another option.

Ryan Jack should be nowhere near the Scotland squad!

Rumour is that if Scotland can get a visa for Russia for Declan Gallagher , he will be in the squad to replace an injured player... Apprently Ryan Jack!

Can disclosure Scotland rush it through that quickly?
