Amateur Footie Fan
Couldn’t agree more I think harestanes know there is an appeal to be heard or nothing would have been said about the matter. Lauriston need to take whatever happens on the chin as it is a silly mistake to make and I think they would do the same if the roles were reversed. You think, I dont.

stfu
They don’t need to appeal if the ref put it in his report then the game will be replayed regardless, harestanes should do the decent thing and withdraw from the cup therefore giving lauriston the tie.
NewBallsPlease
They shouldn’t be refereeing if this is the case. That doesn’t answer the question though, does it?

Amateur Footie Fan
Harestanes calling on their pals to try and justify their laughable appeal. Give it a rest guys, its a embarrasement and if they get their replay and progress Harestanes will be the laughing stock of Scottish Amateur football no matter what you say. Every football person knows its an absolute nonsense and tells you a lot about the ethos within the Club.
gus75
PishI’m only going on what I was told from a guy who was part of safa committee for over 20 yrs, said it happened a few times in past, probably never publicised as much with no social media in they days but home teams were disqualified as its breaking laws of game,it’s up to home team to provide flags.
Thesoccerguy
What alot of pish. Trying to get a replay out of no corner flags being present. How the f**k does that give anyone an advantage. What a riddy.
Gazzah
Has there been a protest or not put in ?
D00074
Can sumone explain why there was no flags in place. That’s like playing a match way no nets it’s part of the set up.You can start a game with no nets. Corner flags are a MUST though.

Redondo
So now we're bypassing a replay and Harestanes r through?? Now that would be very contraversial!!

Imo the refs is the main man here, if he approached the 2 teams and made it clear there were no corner flags and both teams were happy to play then thats that. If he approached lauriston during game and raised a concern and nothing was done then lauriston have left thereself wide open. Harestanes r long in the tooth and will know if they can exploit the rule or no and a hink there silence speaks volumes. If appeal goes in then there will be a replay dont see any other outcome. A don't even think the venue has corner flags for the 'astro' park.

king Henrik7
They can’t lodge an appeal as they are to blame with being the home team Well if they went to Harestanes and got knocked out I’m sure they wouldn’t appeal the decision through having no corner flags , it’s an embarrassment
Safa corrupt.. Never
Defo have lodged a complaint and have informed Laurie. Think if replay ordered they better have a stab proof vest sponser or a tin hat sponser cause this could get tasty in Pilton lol . Wouldn't like to be the snakes in the pit dodgy dodgy. Best of luck but hopefully sporting integrity provails
B McK
I hope the result stands, it was a great win for Lauriston, but if it doesn't I hope Harestanes get pumped again in the replay, I understand ineligible player protests etc but a technicality its embarrassing

The Juice
The Hares are just a really unlikabke mob. One of they teams that are all over social media when they win but when they lose a game never post about it.
Gav Lenin
Hopefully whoever listens to the ‘appeal’ see’s sense and chucks it out the window. Harestanes need to dry there eyes and get on with it, denying Laurieston their well earned victory would be a scandal
