It will end up lower away gates which is a shame.  I wrote more or less the same thing as yourself at the beginning of the thread.  When it comes to spending the best part of £100 for a football day out it's time to chuck out away days.

Like many of the posters allude to here, the price to get into an away game is now too expensive for me, especially when you add in the cost of travel. Going forward I will probably now stop travelling through to the likes of Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen on a regular basis. 

I'm in the position where I have retired, live off a works pension, am still too young to qualify for the State Pension, but still have to pay full price to get into a game, so the costs involved going to an away match now use up far too much of my income and for the quality on show it is simply not worth it.  I feel the same now with regards to going to see live bands/artists. It's my choice not to get another job, so have to accept it, but I think travelling supports are going to fall considerably over the next few seasons as ticket prices approach £30.   

As for going to any senior matches involving teams other than Killie I simply would not pay the prices nowadays for a game not involving Killie, yet when I was younger I regularly went to Love Street and Fir Park along with friends, as prices were reasonable in those days.

Barely any EPL teams rely on gate receipts to operate.

You'll know the answer to this, but do we extend the under 12's free policy to away support? I'm fairly sure we do.

This’ll s another confusing aspect

If you’re spending the thick end of a ton on the afternoon then theoretically a few quid plus or minus on the cost of the ticket should matter less than for home games

It should be home supports that are more price sensitive

If you want to add a further child aged between 13-16, the Aberdeen fans pay an extra £6, St Johnstone fans would pay £12.

So a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 U12s, and a 13-16yo), would be £38 at McDiarmid, and £76 at Pittodrie.

Its a disgrace.

Accies were £15 for concessions and U16s the other week. 

The £25 for adults is bad enough without factoring that into the mix. I had thought Motherwell were now ranking Accies as a category A game too, but that doesn't seem to be the case - that being said they will be charged £24 for adults, but only £3 for U16s. The Motherwell support at the last trip to Accies was over 30% down on our trip in December last season and the same on the game early in the 2017-18. It looks like people are beginning to vote with their feet, let's hope that the clubs start to notice. 

Notice there's a few comparisons to EPL games on this thread too, the difference being there's not half filled stadiums at the majority of these games. It's madness that fans are being priced out of attending seemingly in favour of empty seats.

Very true, sadly I think clubs will realise this too late.

I've not been for a year or so, so dont know what they're like now. The toilets were Cowdenbeath standards last I remember.

When I go to Cowdenbeath I know to expect Cowdenbeath levels of facilities. When I go to Aberdeen I get ripped off by their overcharging for worse than Cowdenbeath levels of facilities.

Pittodrie is a disgrace. Poor views for many away supporters, mid-20th century facilities, 21st century modern pricing. I've also been in the home end with some Aberdeen pals before, in the end with the lower stand. Dreadful.

It's basically a lower league ground with one big new stand chucked behind the goal.

Pittodrie is saved from being the worst away day in the league by Celtic charging £30 to sit behind a pillar.
