Absloute masterclass by Chequebook Baz and Baldy Bob. Clown car defending along with Nathan Austin’s continued impersonation of a football player. A bunch of frauds the whole lot of them. Gogsy is in tears. GIRFUY.

Plenty to say tonight Tarmo. Not seen you on the Kelty forum, been waiting for your chance pal? 🤣

Well done Talbot.Easy victory against a side with lots of money but who look like they would struggle to stay in the West Premier league if they faced the top West junior sides weekly.

We were certainly crap tonight but that's a bold statement. We pumped Beith pre season at a canter (pre season I know). Talbot with a deserved victory but that's not the Kelty I've been watching this season.

Kelty were awful tonight. Got punished for the poor defending. Get away with it against some of the lowland teams, but against a decent enough side you won’t get away with it. Disappointing game, but talbot more than deserved it. Good luck in the next round

Ferguson is an incredibly bad manager. The money they're chucking about should have them smashing the league.
Their main "marquee" signings came this summer - last season's finish was mainly with Courts' squad.

And they're not the only ones chucking money at the LL this season - even if they are probably the biggest spenders of the bunch, it isn't Gretna in Division 3 levels of inequality.

The Lowland teams and Kelty can paint this any way they want - this game was the ultimate test of strength of Pyramid vs Juniors and Talbot hammered the financially doped East Coast diddies.

The sooner we add the West Coast juniors to the leagues, the better. You could add 5 or 6 West teams to the SPFL and they would easily add to the set up. Talbot are arguably a playoff team in League One.

Kelty will have triple or quadruple the budget of any other Lowland League team. The Shire are taking guys from Largs, Kelty are taking Forfar's best players.

Not disputing that Kelty have by far the biggest budget, but the Shire did also sign Bobby Barr, Eddie Malone and Nicky Low from League 1 or above, and the guy they signed from Largs was (as you know) Mark Millar, an experienced former SPFL player who they paid a fee for.

Agree with you that the top West teams need to get in to the pyramid (and then the Lowland League) ASAP. Talbot are fairly obviously the best non-league team in Scotland and several other West Junior sides would be competing at the very top of the Lowland League too.

Kelty really do have a terrible record in the Scottish Cup. Twice they crashed out in "Champion v Champion" contests against LTHV... first occasion the scoreline was the same as tonight... last season they needed replay v Dalbeattie before losing v Peterhead... now tonight.

Only tie they've won at first attempt was against Civil Service Strollers back when making their debut.

Decided to head over to the game, and it was as convincing a win as I'm sure it looked on TV. Kelty started sluggishly and while they had a lot of possession never did anything with it. Dire defending saw them serve-up opportunities on a platter. What surprised most was that they never shook themselves into life; nor had any Plan B; no alternate style. Did they even make a substitution? Trailing 2-0 you expected a reaction 2nd half - and new blood - but it was like "if at first you don't succeed, repeat infinitum..." Naïve football.

Some coaching staff from another LL club sat down along from me in the stand and they would have liked what they saw. Kelty have already lost at Cumbernauld and if they play like this against the other calibre outfits they'll be vulnerable. That said they must have had something about them to beat Annan and run Solihull so close in recent weeks.
