It is close at the bottom, but I do think United will start to get the results that they've been close to getting, McInnes is no mug, County always pull something together like Hamilton used to, and I think Saints will hit form again, so....

It almost seems remiss to neglect to mention that Motherwell have avoided relegation 37 times in a row as part of this litany - we're reasonably good at it.

Even finishing bottom hasn't stopped us before. That's a sign of a true establishment club.

Livi.

Game was postponed the same weekend as ours against St Mirren.

That'll just worsen the goal difference by another couple of goals. We're almost as bad at Livi as we are at Rugby Park (and Tannadice, tbf).

We've got 2 OF matches still to play as well as Hearts tomorrow. While the OF should be written off Hearts are quite a bit ahead of the rest of the other shit in this league.

County - Celtic & Hearts

Arabs - just the Hunnorum

Killie - OF & Hearts

Motherwell and Killie really need to start picking up points off the other dross. Dundee United in theory have the "easier" run in to the split.

Joel Sked on The Terrace was absolutely convinced post cup match that Motherwell are heading down.

What possessed you to make this prediction the night before we play them?

Motherwell for Europe imo.

Run up to the split and as each team is averaging 11 points-ish per cycle I don't this will be too far off. Of course one of the 4 will get a result vs the OF and there will be an upset in there somewhere against Hearts. Will someone get a run and build momentum? Obviously new manager bounces for Motherwell (we could get a new new manager bounce) and surely the Dundee United gig must be perilous at present. Mix in those who are dogshit on the road and those who only get points on the road it is going to be compelling. Add in experienced managers in Malky and McInnes for a wee bit of extra tastiness.

As Motherwell are the only team to face the other three, win those 6 pointers and you're in charge of your own destiny.

It pretty much gonna be a shitshow till the last weekend with everyone involved. Post split its a street fight:

Motherwell (5 points) Currently 23 (28 total) (3x 6 pointer games)

  • Hearts (H) (0 points)
  • Kilmarnock (A) (0 points)
  • Ross County (A) (1 point)
  • Hunnorum (H) (0 points)
  • Hibs (A) (0 points)
  • Livi (H) (3 points)
  • Dundee United (H) (1 point)
  • Celtic (A) (0 points)

Killie (6 points) Currently 23 (29 total) (1x 6 pointer game)

  • Motherwell (H) (3 points)
  • Hunnorum (A) (0 points)
  • St Johnstone (H) (3 points)
  • Hearts (H) (0 points)
  • Aberdeen (A) (0 points)
  • Celtic (H) (0 points)
  • St Mirren (A) (0 points)

Ross County (5 points) Currently 21 (26 total) (2x 6 pointer games)

  • Dundee United (H) (who knows ... 3 points?)
  • Motherwell (H) (1 point)
  • Livi (A) (0 points)
  • Celtic (H) (0 points)
  • St Johnstone (A) (0 points)
  • Aberdeen (H) (1 point)
  • Hearts (A) (0 points)

Dundee United (7 points) Currently 20 (27 total) (2x 6 pointer games)

  • Ross County (A) (0 points)
  • Aberdeen (H) (1 point)
  • Livi (A) (0 points)
  • St Mirren (H) (1 point)
  • Hunnorum (A) (0 points)
  • Hibs (H) (3 point)
  • Motherwell (A) (1 point)
  • Livi (H) (1 point)

Some absolute heads gone shouts in here tonight. Each of the 4 teams at the bottom are just as bad as each other. Wouldn’t mind going down as it’s probably the one way Malkkky will be sacked, although wouldn’t be surprised if he avoided the sack even after relegation.

A lot of heavy lifting being done by those wins you've predicted for all 4 teams.

Way too close to call at this stage IMO.

I don’t think 5th and 6th are much better. The only consolation I have is that whomever finishes in the playoffs should have more than enough.

I think you're being a wee bit generous giving the Dond 2 away points, tbqh.
