4 teams joint bottom on 20 points,  could be some decent scraps coming up.

And Aberdeen plummeting down the table to meet them.

Aberdeen's early season victories are enough to keep them out the conversation I feel.

Watch their squad of 'professionals' respond on Wednesday night against us now as well now that they have had Goodwin emptied.

Jesus. Christ.

Not sure what he was like at Saints but Middleton has arguably been our best player this season or at least most improved.

I like Clark and was disappointed to see him leave. Not sure they are really comparable as too different in styles.

4 teams on the same number of points at the bottom after more than half the season is tremendous entertainment. Please keep it up.

And get Well fucked down in 12th with Killie filling their nappy in the playoffs like versus Dundee for the ideal conclusion.

He'd float in and out games but generally looked like he couldnt be arsed. He was also quite clearly a winger forced to play up front.

I dont think hes that bad + definitely has potential, but, as a striker, claiming hes "well clear" of May or Clark is a mental shout. Thats before you get to claiming Brophy is aswell.

Its still a bit irrelevant too, im not sure many, if any, bottom half sides boast as much "proven" quality. May, Clark, Kane, Wotherspoon, Murphy, Carey all done it for years at this level.

Tighter than a gnats chuff down there. Killie are in a right mess and you have to make them favourites for 12th. Have played a game more than 9th and two games more than 10th, have the worst goal difference and just got humped 3-0 by 11th. Del under pressure?

County looked dead and buried a few weeks ago but their annual second half of the season revival looks to be underway. I think they’ll be fine, again.
St Johnstone lose every week, is that seven in a row now? But, remarkably still seem to have a decent bit of breathing space above the drop zone.  They’re bound to get dragged in to it at some point ..

Motherwell and United both have rookie managers and are both in the thick of it, worrying times for those clubs.

One of which is a match against Celtic where most United fans would probably accept a 3-0 defeat if offered it right now.

So, let’s call that 1 match in hand and fingers crossed to still be above County come full time.

36-38pts always feels a safe target?

So looking at 12-14pts from 15 games for us to avoid the bottom two.

As it stands we have 10 games against the other bottom half sides left, so even just 3/4 wins from that should be enough.

Wednesday huge.

Lose that and you're heading for a McIntyre Dundee run.

Motherwell game massive and a loss could kill us

Being in the relegation mix isn't nice and can put all sorts of pressure on a man, but now isn't the time to be getting hysterical, keep the heid.

A loss to Motherwell, ffs. I'll crack the funnies!!!

Middleton frustrated me so much near the end. He showed flashes of ability but seemed more interested in storming off in a mood or throwing a strop because it wasn’t played right to his feet.

An update of a previous post I made, but

Spoiler

00-01 St Mirren 30 (Dundee United 11th with 35, no playoff)
01-02 St Johnstone 21 (Motherwell 11th with 40, no playoff)
02-03 Motherwell 28 (no relegation LOLkirk, Dundee United 11th with 32)
03-04 Partick Thistle 26 (Aberdeen 34, no playoff)
04-05 Dundee 33 (Dunfermline 11th with 34, no playoff)
05-06 Livingston 18 (Dunfermline 11th with 33, no playoff, Falkirk 10th also with 33, Dundee United 9th, also with 33)
06-07 Dunfermline 32 (St Mirren 11th with 36, no play-off)
07-08 Gretna 13 (inc 10 point admin deduction, Kilmarnock 11th with 40, no play-off)
08-09 ICT 37 (St Mirren 11th, also with 37, no playoff)
09-10 Falkirk 31 (Kilmarnock 11th with 33, no play-off)
10-11 Hamilton 26 (St Mirren 11th with 33, no play-off)
11-12 Dunfermline 25 (Hibs 11th with 33, no play-off)
12-13 Dundee 30 (St Mirren 11th with 41, no play-off)
13-14 Hearts 23 (inc 15 point admin deduction, Hibs 11th with 35, lost play-off. Partick Thistle were 10th with 38 and a better goal difference than Hearts)
14-15 St Mirren 30 (Motherwell 11th with 36, won playoff)
15-16 Dundee United 28 (inc 3 point ineligible player deduction, Kilmarnock 11th with 36, won playoff)
16-17 ICT 34 (Hamilton 11th with 35, won playoff)
17-18 Ross County 29 (Partick Thistle 11th with 33, lost playoff. Hamilton in 10th also had 33 but a better GD)
18-19 Dundee 21 (St Mirren 11th with 32, won playoff)
19-20 Hearts 23 (after 30 games, Hamilton 11th with 27, also after 30 games, no playoff)
20-21 Hamilton 30 (Kilmarnock 36, lost playoff)
21-22 Dundee 29 (St Johnstone with 35, won playoff)

33 points is normally enough to avoid automatic relegation, and 37 to avoid 11th. 38 has always avoided automatic relegation, and 42 has always avoided 11th, while 37 has always avoided the play-off since it was introduced.
