Lex
I still have memories of this, so I am not saying County are safe, yet. Another win and it'll do, I think. For all intents we were dead and buried while playing stinking football before going on a Bayern Munich run (home defeats to St. Mirren and Thistle aside). Yeah, that was a famously great come back. The current bottom two are further behind with less games to play.

Archie McSquackle
Would certainly be the popular choice. Bring absolutely nothing to the top league and you could replace them with any generic weegie dross like Accies, Kilmarnock, Partick or Morton and folk would barely notice.I know you're fishing but, if we're using that logic, are St. Johnstone Dundee dross?

Dunning1874
Even if Goodwin (no stranger to a lengthy winless run) or Robinson (less likely, just had two difficult fixtures to start with) were to go full Terry Butcher here and either Aberdeen or St Mirren were to only pick up one point for the rest of the season, can you actually see St Johnstone or Dundee making it to 33/34 points? Even if they take three points from the collapsing side, where are the rest of the points coming from? Dundee do have Aberdeen before the split as well right enough, so in the scenario of Aberdeen in freefall and Dundee pushing for 10th that could be four/six points there, but it's pretty far fetched.

It's not far fetched on paper. However...

Martin_T
Very unlikely, but given Aberdeen's precipitous form and the fact Derek McInnes Kilmarnock currently sit 2nd in the Championship, there's a prospect of McInnes rolling into Pittodrie to relegate the Dons.

Genuinely assumed Dundee had 2 or 3.

tree house tam
I think any trophies won in the era when you paid to get in with stone coins really should be forgotten about, personally.

Of course, because records and winners medals just disappear from history after a certain amount of years.
DiegoDiego
This our own fault and the blame must fall totally on Calum DavidsonSurely Davidson is doing as good a job as his abilities allow and the blame falls on the board who haven't sacked him

Insaintee
I'll be honest, I'm not 100% certain that St Mirren will survive this season, but I am 100% certain that I'd rather be where we are now than were Dundee and St Johnstone are. I'm also 100% certain I'm happier with our squad than the Dundee squad. Can all go pear shaped, but at least it's not pear shaped now
johnnydun
A slight gain by us and the Fermers on the Maureens and the Sheep botherers. Not that I think we will catch them but a win against St Mirren midweek and beating Aberdeen in our game, would reduce the points gap to 3. Big ask though.
