The Big Relegation Thread

Who’s going down?

Kept waiting for one of the other fans to start this. Where’s all your arrogant version of NDD?

Too slow.

One of us is going right down there, and one other is half way there. Who?

The obvious four candidates are St Mirren, Hamilton, Livingston, Hamilton and Ross County.

However, we all know there’s going to be at least one other team dragged into our mire. Who?l Now, show your weary head.

Wouldn’t it be much fun if someone like Hearts went into the.bottom 6 split with a chance of relegation? That’s the kind of football club we’d all love to choke it right up (again) and end up in the...Champion... Ship.

PS: St Johnstone, Motherwell and Kilmarnock; your rent’s due.

Hamilton does that to us all. We all know you’re doing enough to stay up (again).

Fingers crossed you beat Dundee United in the playoff, that will piss Sportsound right off.

No idea why you've got Livingston listed and not us.

We look certs at the moment, great attacking options but we're constantly shipping goals and couldn't grind out a result to save our lives.

St Mirren/Goodwin should be able to shitfest enough points, Hamilton always do. Livingston won't be near relegation. Edinburgh sides won't be near it, and Ross County will be fine.

As I say, just now we look stick ons, to me.

I think that’s the problem this year.

From a St Mirren perspective, we are much better team with a much better manager than we had last season.

However, last term we had that old reliable comedy club (Dundee) cushion. I feel like this year there’s no similar landing zone for us (or anyone) to rest our shiteness on. We don’t have that equivalent joke side, the rest of you are sadly quite good.

Maybe this year we will be better than we were last year and still finish 12th.

Or maybe Hearts will save us all, wouldn’t that be a laugh.

There is not one stand out obvious comedy outfit this season, much less three to pick from. There's possibly going to be 5 or so teams milling about in the mix this season. Killie and Saintees being the unexpected ones.

Hamilton will be there too but will undoubtedly shitfest enough points. They always do. Despite having no standout individuals on paper, Livingston are also more than good enough to just power through sides of a similar stature. They aren't pretty but they are massively effective. They'll be nowhere near it.

I'd love to see Hearts or Hibs having a stinking season and getting dragged into the mix much like Dundee Utd (and indeed Hibs) unexpectedly did a few seasons back and ended up relegated but they will pull their noses up with plenty to spare.

Attacking options of May, O'Halloran, Swanson and Kennedy.

Still relegated.

Maybe so, but it's not like you are going to be cut adrift by Christmas or anything.

As I said, a few no very good teams but no obvious comedy candidate this season so far. Certainly not on the level Dundee, Hamilton and ourselves were last season.

You think?

We've played 8 games, been ahead in two, and we lost one of those. The only game we've gone ahead in and won this season was against Brechin.

Probably a battle between Ross County, Hamilton Academical and St Mirren to see who goes straight down, and who stays up after pumping one of the Dundee clubs right up their sorry ass after they couldn’t score one penalty kick. Maybe it’ll be the dark blue wallopers turn to provide the 12 yard laughs this time.
