(Actually, we have already had one round of qualifiers, I missed it, apologies...) Will @cal234ey be able to defend his 2018 LMS Crown, or will we have a new Champion? For newcomers, the rules are as follows: Every gameweek you have to select a team to win . If they draw, you lose a life, if they lose, you lose a life. Each manager has two lives, so if you get one wrong you survive, if you get two wrong, you're out. If you mess up a guess, please do not edit your post. Just quote the original and say what you meant to put. So long as it's before deadline it should still be okay. Edited posts may look like you have cheated and incur a lost life. The winner is whoever is Last Man Standing. If everyone is eliminated in a round, then everyone goes back in for the next one. Some of the qualifiers will be in groups, some in knockout games. For the purposes of Last Man Standing, we only care about results of the game in question after ninety minutes. Extra-time, penalties, aggregate and away goals are irrelevant here. To make it more difficult, you may only select each team once. So you can't just select, say, Brazil or Germany every round. The only exception is when there are so few teams left that you have already picked each of them before. I'd say we are pretty unlikely to get to that stage but you never know. I will use this post to keep track of players' progress and list which teams you have already selected. I will try to sticky this topic each Gameweek, if I remember. Good luck to everyone! You can choose a team for both gameweeks at once, or wait and submit your gameweek two selection later. Gameweek deadlines will be half an hour before the kickoff of the first game. Some of you may be confused by the presence of Qatar in the qualifiers, as they have already qualified as hosts. This is because Asian Qualifiers double up as Qualifiers for the Asian Cup. For the purposes of this game, they are treated the same as any other team and you can pick them or their opponents. Deadline for Gameweek One is 1330 UK time on Wednesday 4th September. Deadline for Gameweek Two is 1330 UK time on Sunday 8th September. If you miss the first Gameweek deadline you can still enter Gameweek two but will be starting with a life lost.
