Why do the 2 need to happen simultaneously? The LL should be opening up more, as should the SPFL, but one can happen without the other.

And it'll take 4 years to empty all of them at this rate when you've got Linlithgow, Bo'Ness, Penicuik, Hill of Beath, Broxburn amongst others queuing up in the EoS. The protectionist 1 down needs to be increased.

Two of them could get emptied if Stirling Albion (say) get relegated from the SPFL and another Highland League club gets promoted. But your point still stands.

I'm sure they'll look at it once the SPFL give the LL/HFL play off  winner  an automatic place, how many times does it have to be explained before the penny drops wi some folk, obviously the SPFL have their protectionist too :whistle

1. It will take one side to make a change first, for the other to budge. The SLFL and the EOS/SOS are all non-league, so logically they should change together first.

2. SPFL League 2 teams have won the qualification several times. The gap is larger between the bottom of the SLFL and the EOS Premier. Linlithgow Rose would beat Vale Of Leithen ten times out of ten.

3. Two wrongs don’t make one right. Doing the right thing should be the priority.

Just look at Bonnyrigg Rose and Kelty Hearts compared to the bottom teams this season. The difference in quality is vast. We’ll see if Vale can take any points off them this season.

That’s how it works yeah. If two teams miles better than lithgae win two games each this season against vale then it’ll prove once and for all that lithgae would beat vale ten out of ten times [emoji1303]

Only six points and six goals goal difference separated the two Rose’s last season. Linlithgow Rose are now top of the EOS Premier, Bonnyrigg Rose are top of the SLFL. Vale on the other hand have played six matches, all losses, and have a goal difference of 2-28. The numbers do all of the talking.

Only 2 leagues separated Bolton and Bury last season and now look at them!!

I bet if the Vale manager had the budget of the clubs you mentioned they wouldn't be where they are.

They're a well run club living within their means.

No need for the personal attack.

Oh and its fitba teams especially at this level rarely win 10 games out of 10 against each other !!

But that is what separates the bigger clubs from the smaller clubs. It doesn't mean (as you say) a win is guaranteed but budgets over say a 5 year period will determine where clubs are. At times, Vale struggled to get an XI together last year, trialist numbers in double figures, but the bench seems a bit more padded out this time around and a few loans also in the line-up. But the smaller well ran clubs will struggle to compete at the LL level as time goes on and the quality of the league improves.

Ormiston 1-11 Linlithgow Rose

Linlithgow Rose 3-3 Ormiston

Maybe hang fire on giving any team a 100% record on paper because it doesn't usually play out that way in reality.
