Bring Your Own Socks
Founders of the game v the league's newbies. Fiscally prudent amateurs v Loadsamoney wannabes. Top of the table clash. Glasgow v Aberdeen. Free-scoring attack v the stingiest of defences. Five weeks in and it's the game of the season already. After a blistering league start and a very decent league cup showing Cove have positioned themselves well. Queen's too have had a good start with eight out of nine games unbeaten (regulation time) but if we adjust the Boris spin only two wins so far. Mark Roberts continues his quest to find the holy grail of a defence as tight as a duck's arse (so far so good) and an attack scoring for fun (work in progress). With Cove keen to concede almost as often as scoring over the last four games, this could be our day. 2-1 for the QP. Don’t give them too much (any) respect and you won’t be far away. Sit back and you’ll get a doing.
an86
They've conceded a few, we haven't scored many. They've scored a few, we haven't conceded many. The expectation is that Cove Ranger$ are going to be one of the top two and very few outside of our camp will give us a chance. Very much a case of doing what we've been doing, but be more ruthless. Go and play with freedom and no fear and we should make a real game of this. If we let the standard drop, we saw what happened to Edinburgh City. f**k Alan McRae.
Toonsers
Notice the QP manager was complaining that the pitch was too big when they played Elgin on Saturday why’s that then thought QP would be used to their own pitch?
Hampden Diehard
Notice the QP manager was complaining that the pitch was too big when they played Elgin on Saturday why’s that then thought QP would be used to their own pitch? That's only the second match that we've played on it this year and most of the new guys won't be used to playing on a park that big. That'll come right. We're doing ok on everyone else's park so far. Hopefully that will continue this week with a right, royal pumping of Cove.

He made mention in the match programme of how the players were connecting with the fans when playing at smaller stadiums. Think it was in that context. We'll see on Saturday if that theory works. At the end of June we didn't have any players on the books. Came a long way since then. Anyway, the big story is we've got a Cove fan on here. I see you've got a clubhoose going too. Hope there's a hatstand for all the bowlers.

Mick1867
Our supporters' bus will be stopping at Stonehaven for a few pints on the way up but what's the situation with the bar at the ground? We might just get there in time for a couple

Good for a scran too. Nothing else near it though.

QPSpider1867
The new boys making noise vs the club that paved the way. Quite tricky to predict the outcome on Saturday. It's evident Cove have an attacking threat but previous games indicate an inability to keep the back door shut. On the other hand, QP have the best defence record in the league but haven't finished as many chances as we should. Tough to beat on Saturday with a goal or 2 nicked up the other end would be ideal. My optimism tells me it'll be 2-1 win in favour of QP. My honest thoughts are an evenly matched draw. It's great to have a set structure, style of play and starting 11 so early in the season. A win on Saturday would be a fantastic 3 points and a statement in the league running. Black and white army!

CoveRangers1922
Looking forward to seeing Queens Park visit Balmoral park on Saturday. Agreed that our defence has conceded a few goals and especially so in the second half. That being said Fyvie, Glass, Mitch and Masson are really strong attacking threats. Fancy Cove to score a few and win 3-1. My predictions are normally not worth the paper they are written on! Anyway looking forward to seein QP for the first time and find out the qualities they have. The bookie agrees with you bud, whatever should be an interesting game as the 'new boys' we won't have the surprise element if there was one, guess the plastic pitch would be the next to blame.
