Livi v St Mirren

Gary Holt missing this one as he's been in hospital the past few days. Doesn't sound like anything serious and just illness, hopefully takes training next week after a good win.

Martindale taking the team for today's game, 8-0 Livi (absolutely nothing to do with the players' water tasting different).

And why are you tasting the players "water"?

If Pittman or Keaghan got anything to gee them up theyd be absolutely maniacs tackling St Mirren players, esp Keags. . cotty is already like the energizer bunny the way he never stops running

Enjoy the 3 points saints, wtf is our team

probably a bit of an overreaction, but Pittman is the heart of the team, everyone presses with him and his energy and workrate will be a big loss. Think he’s missed 2/3 games in the pay 3 seasons.

Dont remember the last game Pittman didn’t start, such massive boots for erskine to fill. Lacking numbers too we don’t have another holding midfielder on the bench. Lamie is a big loss when he’s been so solid but McMillan was great before his injury

What's the problem with it? Only surprises are McMillan in for Lamie and Erskine in for Pittman, presumably because they're injured, and even at that McMillan has looked very good when he's played this season.

Not only the team but also the bench - looks like an attacking first half and replacements defenders to come on in the second.

Can't remember Pittman ever being injured, hope it isn't anything serious, he's been an absolute rock for us in midfield, and is also a goal threat when he pushes up, big loss for us. Erskine hasn't had much of a chance, but I remember his miss against St Mirren last season when we lost 1-0 away from home, hopefully he makes up for it today.

I think McMillan is better than Lamie at LB, so no loss there, and Souda is tricky on the wing, and will be bursting to do well after being left out the last couple of games. We will miss not having Keaghan and Scotty in midfield though.

Pittman is a monumental loss. I quite like Erskine but he doesn’t have anywhere near the same energy as him.

Big shoes for Crawford to fill today too. Wasn’t too impressed with him during the cup games but he looked not bad against Forfar.

A win today would be a great result considering the circumstances.

HT 1-0

Yeah fair reflection. Livi are quite a good team. Better than us anyway, so far.

Goal is corner, header, net. Could defend it better, but.

Only 1 in it so... guess game is on 2nd half. Need to be so much better all over the park if we are going to avoid defeat though.

This one is still in the balance.

Both teams putting a lot into the game, as they should, and a few scrappy phases.

I think we’ve been a bit wasteful in the final 3rd but St Mirren have generally snuffed things out aswell. Need more end product from Souda but he’s shown greet feet. Andreu has been really bright from St Mirren; buzzing about and making things happen.

FT 2-1

Yeah similar to first half review, overall we deserved to lose.

Spent last night laughing at Morton and Dundee. Livingston are the absolute antithesis to those clubs. They have much less fans than both, but unlike those two, they are really well run on and off the pitch.

They stayed up comfortably last season and they will stay up comfortably this season too. They even have their ticket system in order for goodness sake. And when their manager is in hospital (get well soon) they are still a well drilled and disciplined side. Well done Livi, you’re doing football right.

For us... not much to add. We narrowly lost an away game to a team who are better than us. On another day we may have snatched a point but we can have no complaints.

Onto Dingwall!
