October 1948 League Cup

Raith Rovers 5-3 East Fife

That would be a good answer if it actually involves the Season we were talking about Frank!!!

Clue: NO games from the 1947-48 Season were played in or around or even during October 1948!!!

You’ve only beaten us by a grand total of TWO more League Games than we have beaten you, hardly unequivocal superiority is it!!!

East Fife League Wins - 29

Draws - 14

Raith Rivers League Wins - 31

It's not really that much of a surprise that we're only a couple of wins ahead of you as, outwith the 1950s, we only tend to be in the same league as each other when Rovers are at a low ebb and have been relegated to a lower league (like the last couple of seasons and at present).

If you look at the two clubs' respective league positions since East Fife joined the senior leagues, then unequivocal superiority isn't really too far off the mark.

Just out of interest any pictures of the stand from the game? Great to see a sold out derby game and the teams didn’t disappoint with the number of goals.
