East Fife v Raith Rovers (28th Dec 2019)

Recommended Posts

Well done Raith, game of two halves but I think you deserved that, you can’t play the way we did today in the first half and hope to get anything from the game!!!
The changes we made at half time obviously worked but we were always chasing the game, you’re last two goals we’re obviously coming when we were pushing up but you took advantage of it, again well done, but it’s weird when you see 8 goals in a local derby and it can still never be described as a classic!!!

Stop being so reasonable you!!!

Offered my pal outside at full time because he had absolutely lost his head.

Second time this has happened to our support this season with folk in the main stand rattling McKinnon's assistant at home to Falkirk.

Didn't expect this result, especially when seeing the line up. That really stakes a claim for Dylan Tait.

Agreed on Tait, but where do we play him? Advanced mid in front of Hendry/Spencer/Matthews, or replacing Spencer or Matthews? And if not replacing either, where does GAndo play?

A lot was made of the players Raith were missing but Ross Dunlop and Ross Davidson were a massive loss for East Fife.  East Fife were a defensive shambles for most of the game. Raith looked a yard quicker and faster in the early stages and to give them a 2 goal start proved too much. Credit East Fife for making a game of it when we could have crumbled . Wished all East Fife players had a desire like Ryan Wallace. Never good to lose a derby but it’s only 3 points still a lot of twist and turns ahead. We could be doing with some quality in the January window as we  don’t have enough quality in reserve when key players are out.

What i find funny is the same assistant given it big licks to the Rovers support when East Fife is winning then lacks class when his own side is losing . For once Rovers were up for it from the start and i couldnt believe the space MacDonald was getting in the first half. 2nd half we started to sit too deep and maybe thought we had won it but fair play to East Fife for getting back in the game.
Huge credit to the squad today considering the injuries and suspensions which included 3 Teenagers having to play there part
