So a relatively soft landing in the LL or HL.

I don't think the Shire or Berwick have found it soft.

Really? A one-in-five chance of dropping out of the league? Those are very poor odds.

That's what we have in the Championship and L1 right now.

You're not dropping out of the league in those cases, merely a division within it.

That's a distinction without a difference. What does matter, as someone else pointed out to me, is the loss of income from cups etc.

It's softer than no parachute payment and no entry to the senior cups.

More relegation and promotion spots is healthy for the game.

...but could turn even clubs like Spartans into relegation strugglers in as little as three seasons, so there is probably no huge enthusiasm for it among the current membership. It would be better if the SFA had more control over these sorts of issues.

if they had more control we would be shoehorning in the JUniors and looking at chaos of people jumping about trying to get promotion and causing chaos

Roll on the days that the likes of Auchinleck Talbot and Pollok are running amok in the LL.
You do increasingly come across as a bitter Joonyur man

Not sure Pollok have run amok in anything recently.

You come across as being more anti-junior than pro-pyramid.

That's because Joonyur men see anything pro-Pyramid as being an attack on the grade.

There are plenty pro-Pyramid people within the Junior game, are they also anti-Junior?

Complete drivel. Anybody who is in favour of a genuine pyramid should welcome the prospect of clubs like Auchinleck Talbot and Pollok running amok in the LL and should hope it happens ASAP. We would get there quicker if the SFA had more control over the process and the selfish self-interest agendas of the various leagues and clubs didn't get in the way.

No, it's not. The difference is you're dropping out of one league structure into a completely separate one - with a much less high national profile.

It only matter insofar as it translates into cash and the ability to attract players. The simple fact that the league is run by someone else isn't the issue.

You can change that profile by treating the league with a bit more respect and putting more promotion and relegation places in.

Heres a link to the national broadcasters page for SPFL 2, its all right if you're a Cove Supporter I suppose. Nothing in the last three weeks apart from Barry Smiths sacking.

SPFL1 page isn't much better third most recent story is East Fife manager promising he isn't going to park the bus against Rangers.

But the results on a Saturday are on UK wide television. Every week during the season. The LL and HL don't have that.

And what does that actually get you though? Does it make Jim Duffy less s*ite as a manager? Does it mean you don't sign non league haddies from outside the SPFL?

You haven't been paying attention over the last few years then if you don't think that being pro-Pyramid is seen by some as being anti-Junior. It's been the case from the very outset of the LL, 30 seconds in the Junior forum is all you need.

The only self interested agendas come from one side in this, that isn't being anti-Junior, it's cold hard fact as you should be well aware, and the EoS refusing parity of the ERJFA should be welcomed by you, to stop the east turning into a clusterfuck. A bad plan is a bad plan.
