smuggfifer
Now that the circus has packed up and left town, it's back to the day job. Hopefully this season, the distraction of side shows will not be an issue.League business v an able Airdrie side who underperformed last season, but may be heading in the right direction this time round. Going to be tough game, as they always are, but hopefully we can put our league form into a higher gear , and push up the table. We have a squad, more than capable of going all the way. Let's hope they can believe it as much as we do. As for the game, I'd stick with the same starting 11 from yesterday. Only change maybe, if Long is available , get him back in the team . Not much between the keepers, so need to give game time. Monthefife!
Big Fifer
Out for the festival on the Friday so hoping to make this one (hangover pending). I'd go the same as yesterday with Long in goals and potentially swapping out a centre half for Watson. Hopefully we can get the three points and get the league campaign running after all the cup nonsense.
Moon
we're still finding our feet in terms of starting 11 and seemingly our appetite to get out and play. If we play like we did in the second half on Saturday we have a good chance of winning. Otherwise could be a long afternoon.
++Ammo - Airdrie++
Never an easy game to predict tbh. Both teams more than capable of giving the other a doing, so absolutely no result would surprise me here.Hopefully a couple of wins on the bounce (3 with the cup game) will have a wee bit of a confidence boost for the players. As someone before mentioned there, play like 1St half against Clyde, we could be 2 or 3 down before the break. But if we play like the second 45 I'd be confident of getting something.Obviously want to win every game but I don't think it would be a bad point to bring home from methil tbh.
Chapelhall chap
Will be close : east Fife looked very organised and hard working yesterday so will have to be matched in that regard. Wallace always turns it on against us so the CBs need to be on their A game. The forwards look very balanced although young Smith for us might well have a bit of pace over Dunlop+. The recent games have been very close apart from the 6-1 disaster and we should maybe not score first! Hope it is not as windy and no one kicks the out ball into the sea!
airdrieman
Can't call this one. Both teams are capable of winning and will fancy their chances. And Ryan Wallace is bound to score at least one. Hoping for another win on the bounce to take into the Falkirk game the following week. Would I be happy with a point though? Aye. Would more or less go with the same team as Saturday but have MacDonald on from the start at right-back, Gallagher in place of Roy upfront with Smith and if Eckersley isn't fit McCann in for him.
weigh cider
Would gladly take a point at Methil and move onto a home match against the league leaders
Cambuslang Fifer
With the bookie cup out the way it's back to league action for us, hopefully we take our chances and win a football game since beating stranrear at home from last season. On the other hand Airdrie have improved squad and seem to be going in the right direction under Murray so this will be a right tight affair as always. Like to see Brett in for Hart, Watson given a start at cb and Duggan for Wallace as the three changes from last week.
GoalForAirdrie
2-1 Airdrie. Duggan to score early on for East Fife, only to sign for Airdrie at half time. And then will come out 2nd half and score a brace for the Diamonds.
King Kebab
Fancy us to win this, it’ll be tight but I think our defence is better and that should see us through!!!And if Airdrieonians have any tricky wide men we have DY running the line to sort them out!!![emoji6]
Big Fifer
I am officially ready for a league win to be injected intravenously. Tomorrow is the day. 2-1 Fife, last minute winner from Tonks.
EFFC1938
Any win will do! We've been playing some decent stuff but not taking our chances! I'm expecting this to be a very hard game and hopefully the cup distraction is over and our players are up for it! Mon the Fife
ShineOnYouCrazyDiamonds
My prediction is a 1-0 win for the diamonds and Darren Young to be sent to the stands for a trip on an Airdrie player trying to take a shy.

smuggfifer
Watson at CB for whom. Why on earth would you take Wallace out? He had a great game against one of the best teams in the country only 6 days ago. Don't try and shoehorn players in, just for the sake of it. We won 8 games in a row last season , playing almost the the same 11 each game , only little changes ye to injury or suspension.
