Guest Bob Mahelp
The only positive that I can think of is that Vyner played well when coming into defence. I wasn't at Paisley so I didn't realise how big he is. He wasn't over pressured by a Killie team playing with no confidence, but the signs are encouraging that he can step in for McKenna. And the weather was great.

Good to hear he’s at least competent there.

Other than the game against the Georgian duds, that was our strongest defensive performance of the season. I honestly didn't think we were under any pressure at all at any point in the game (and I know that we created no pressure ourselves).

Only time off the top of my head that your defence put unnecessary pressure on itself was a sloppy Considine pass that McKenzie picked up on the outskirts of your final third but you dealt with it.

Hardly surprising considering we are powder puff up front . ‘Haven’t watched Sportscene yet but how they got highlights from that game god knows

Aside from that, I've been to livelier and more exciting funerals. Edited August 26, 2019 by Bob Mahelp

Not as slow as the poor female steward who unfortunately had to become ball boy at times. Yeah just right before he had literally full on sprinted the full length of the park on s counter attack. I remember because I had to tell someone next to me abusing SOD for wasting time

The business should have been done earlier, but it's still not all doom and gloom. Genuine question - how do you feel now that the transfer window has closed? I have to say I am a bit underwhelmed, albeit I am looking forward to seeing St Clair play. I still feel we are a bit lightweight up front and lacking a creative midfielder. Hopefully there are still some out of contract players to come in.

Having just Sow and Brophy as out-and-out senior strikers and without any real attack-minded central midfield player leaves us a bit short. The summer as a whole has been a shambles, but if there are a couple of free agents coming in then that could leave us with a decent squad going forward.
