The Treble Treble Troublers vs Lawrence Shankland F.C

Recommended Posts

A win, a steak bridie and some decent weather would make for a good day out.

I would not be surprised or disappointed if it was the same starting XI as last game with the exception of Pawlett in for Clark.

Remain as determined and disciplined as we did yesterday and 3 points is more than manageable. We also showed that we can go longer than an hour without going a bit wobbly and conceding silly goals.

Can we resign Petrie for this one?

Mark Kerr to score a last-minute OG.

Our form against this muck is absolutely dire. Maybe as bad as our form at Tynecastle.

We will win this, we haven’t beaten them at eep for 300 years. I could be exaggerating?

Hope that the Dundee United fans wont be offended while they smash up Lorenzos.

I believe there are cave paintings in Blairhall that refer to the event but there is no other documentary evidence of us being anything other than a shambles in this fixture.

A win in one of the next couple of fixtures would be good. 2 points from three and being at or near the bottom after 3 games could erode the confidence of the promising stuff we've shown so far.

Fitness-wise, Saturday was a blessing. After subs etc, we've usually fielded about 10 guys who were either part time, u20s or out injured all last season. Not a team of kids but not a group hugely familiar with this level and the tempo. The drop-off we've seen after an hour or so has been totally understandable given the high-tempo approach. Coming from behind and finishing with two up front at Celtic Park must be a huge confidence booster for the first team and the u20s when they can see what Sheilds and Crawford have been working on is paying off. Plenty of fans were worried about the depth of squad yet we're showing we can dip into the u20s pool without fear.

Crawford's tactical homework is uncharted territory for Pars fans too.

Very impressed with the Craw and his dealings so far. Saying that, I wouldn't be surprised to see us catch Utd a bit cold after their mini break but eventually fold against their firepower.

Pars 1-2 Utd

2 points after 3 games would disappointing, but it's an incredibly tough start to the season. Dundee, then away to QoS with their dodgy pitch, Celtic away in the cup and now league favourites at EEP. Would definitely take another draw.
