Sancho Panza
Great idea, should have one Sunday game each week share it about a bit.
wow-wee
So what is the reason given for this to be on a Sunday
Shanner
it's a no from me.
glensmad
Not for me either. Friday night yes, Sunday nope. Ok for a one-off special occasion like a cup final, but not regular games. It's a family day for me.
wintonfan
seems to work well enough in senior football, might encourage neutrals to go to a game..... did also notice with the midweek games that clubs that have satan's lanterns are being allowed to kick off at 19.30 and use their lights as opposed to 18.45, the kennie could also schedule a weekly friday night game under the lights for those clubs that have them
juniorjunior
I think it’s a great idea and it’s about time the SJFA started thinking outside the box. If you have a top match every Sunday, it could potentially add a few more fans onto the gate generating more money for clubs. I think they should be applauded
Shanner
social club bar receipts must be significantly less on a Sunday.

Money lost from social club takings would far outweigh the money made with an extra 25 bodies through the gate.
griffiti on the wall
Absolutely not Friday night local matches are great and have shown to increase attendance but Sunday football I don't think is popular at all in Scotland .
glensmad
Plus the fact that many junior players work on a Sunday as part of their weekly schedule to make sure they are available for training and Saturday matches.
tommyboy
Be interesting to see the attendance figures for today's 'big' Scottish tie between Colville and Whitehill Welfare which will be played at New Tinto with a 2 o'clock ko. This game was originally scheduled for Blantyre's KG stadium, but after last week's cancellation, and with a forecast of more rain, the venue was changed to Govan. Which kinda leads us on to these recent proposals re new floodlit 3g and grass pitches for the Blantyre folk ..... https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/blantyre-vics-discuss-plans-new-18941945
