Should have just went off sick for a few days and self certified.

Likely an attention seeker, who thought about that but decided she would prefer the publicity and victim status.

Anyway, if anybody's looking for a job as a sandwich 'artist' now's yer big chance ---

You can't claim trademark protection for a job description, however wanky it is. I guess that's why it's unregistered.

This is in no way intended to be a humorous observation, I am genuinely peeved by the unsupportable claim to IP protection.

Sick b*****ds pinged it out a big slignshot then peppered it with a shotgun.
Looks like they pinged her make-up out of a shotgun loaded with crayons..

Her mother doesn't seem too impressed by the situation -

If she's good enough for the Wolf of Wall Street she's good enough for me.

If she was applying the sandwich fillings the way she applies her makeup, she was probably sacked before she bankrupted the shop.

Probably for the best she didn't come into work tbh.

Unless you like your sandwiches with extra salty mascara relish...

If my cat dies I will be taking a day off to buy a mini top hat and tails and visit the taxidermist.

Thankfully, we have a thread for such things.

Plus she's not exactly top of the wankbank list but is, being realistic and regretting it afterwards, a wid.

Here's her pal and what passes for news in The Record these days.

Here's a tip for you hen, one of you stay at home with the dog.

We can't leave her at home, we can't leave her tied up outside, and we can't leave her in the car - we literally have to take her everywhere.

I was leaving others to pick the bones out of the "story". That one did jump out.

Truly a disgrace. She wasn't allowed to bring her dog into a shop that doesn't allow customers to bring their dogs into.

We really do live in a golden era for attention seeking idiots.

A Glasgow woman has called for bereavement leave when a pet dies.  18 year old Emma McNulty claims she was fired from her job after being unable to attend work due to grief following the death of her terrier Millie.  Ms Mcnulty asked for time off from the sandwich shop where she worked but was told to find cover or face dismissal.  As she couldn't find cover, she was sacked.

Here is a photograph of Millie

Millie

Following her experience, Ms McNulty started a petition calling for bereavement leave when a pet dies.  The law currently allows for reasonable time off to deal with the death of a dependant, a definition which doesn't include pets.

Do P&Bers think you should get time off if your pet dies?

Have any P&Bers ever taken time off work following the death of a pet, perhaps in a house fire?

No, it was a dog, not buying this, get to your work
