There has been a reasonable amount of talk about Miami trading down the Texans 1st round pick, (or trading up Miami's 1st round pick) to get DeVonta Smith. He's done his cause no harm in this game.

Was just going to post about how impressive he has been in this game.

Notre Dame should have been left out the final Big Four after a total embarrassing baw humping off Clemson on the last game of their season, Texas A&M or Oklahoma more likely deserved fourth place, Bowl committee took ND's appeal, this happens most years in this playoff series.

Glad to see 'Bama spanking them.

Impressive 49-28 win for Ohio with Justin Fields throwing for 385 yards and 6 TDs, and running back Trey Sermon going for 193 yards and a TD off of 31 carries.

Bit more reaction to that mass brawl from ESPN...

Bowl committee's big team found.

They did the same with Alabama in the last few years..

Well well, Clemson took one helluva beating, eh?

Never saw that coming although Dabo Sweeney and Trevor Lawrence looked a bit subdued during College Gameday, Coach Corso got it wrong. Again..

Mike Leach at his best, ESPN staff have had it in for Leach since the Mike Leach/Craig James debacle quite a few years ago..

Leach is old school and doesn't take any  s***

I like him..(doesn't mean the handbags was right though)

Having lived in both Bloomington Indiana and Chapel Hill, NC today's games hold interest.

Indiana have complained about a lack of respect all year yet lose to an unranked team. Their coach is very good though and I imagine will be sought after.

UNC will I think lose by at least 20 soon.

Had to turn off tonight's game, because my Mrs decided she wanted to breakdown every play in her own way.

The big fat f**ker ( the d line) jumped on him
The big f**ker ( a linebacker) jumped on him
The skinny f**ker (secondary) jumped on him

It really becomes annoying after a while.

National Championship match in the wee small hours of tomorrow morning, starts at 1 am UK time.

Justin Fields is the star man for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He has been under the spotlight since High School when he featured in the QB1: Beyond the Lights series which was recently showing on Netflix. He originally went to Georgia and was back up to Jake Fromm, but switched to Ohio after a year and would normally have had to sit out for a year. He applied for a waiver, with the "mitigating circumstances" in the application thought to include alleged racial abuse, and the waiver was granted. He has starred for Ohio since, with 6 TD passes against Clemson in the semi final, and he will almost certainly be a first round draft pick, and could well be the second QB off the board after Clemson's Trevor Lawrence.

On the other side, the Crimson Tide have the Heisman Trophy winner in WR Devonta Smith, just one of a handful of awards he has won in this his senior year. He has racked up 1600 yards receiving with 16 TDs, and was Offensive MVP in their semi final Rose Bowl win over Notre Dame. He had several stand out catches during the match, with 7 catches for 130 yards and 3 TDs. He is also being slated to go early in the upcoming draft.20210111_104227.thumb.jpg.00fa5bc16676456d4ac6e5f9a7d8e5a2.jpg

Lots of stand out performances from Alabama, their defense was superb as the game went on.

'Bama QB Mac Jones had 36 passes caught from 45 attempts, going for 464 yards and 5 touchdowns, giving his draft prospects a boost in the process. Smith didn't add any more catches in the second half after picking up an injury.

Ohio lost RB Trey Sermon after what turned out to be his one and only carry on the first play of the game and that was a huge blow for them.

First half was excellent and at 14-14 was looking like it could be a classic, but Alabama just blew Ohio away from there on.
