Airdrieonians vs. Clyde

Recommended Posts

I make it 10 years since we last played each other on league business.

Already an important game for both sides with Clyde coming off a bit a thumping from Raith Rovers last week and Airdrie desperately needing a good performance after a disappointing last couple of weeks.

I’d like to see us line up:-

Hutton

MacDonald - Fordyce - Crighton - Eckersley

Millar - Roberts

Carrick - Hawkshaw - Roy

Smith

We could really do with a win but can see this ending 2-2.

Mitchell

Cuddihy Howie Petkov McNiff

Lamont McStay Grant Wallace

Johnston Goodwillie

That's how I'd line-up. Hopefully Wedderburn plays and we can have Johnston and Lamont playing around him again. Hopefully Thomson doesn't play to run at McNiff.

Would expect many variations though, as not even DL knows our best line-up.

Not sure Murray knows our best formation/team yet but I suspect he will change Montrose starting eleven and also the Accies drivel from last night. This means he will bring back Wedderburn with Cowan dropping out. if it is a notional 4-3-3 I(4-2-1-3 ) t will be:

Hutton

Mcdonald Fordyce Crighton Eckersley

Wedderburn Millar

Roberts

Carrick Smith Roy

Really 4-5-1 at home yet again! He played 4-4-2 last night till bringing on Roberts when we were 1 up but well off the pace. He seems cautious at all times.

I’d also start Ally Love

I much prefer him coming on as an impact sub. For whatever reason he never seems as effective when he is on from the start. (the stats will probably prove me wrong).

I'll join the  caravan of Love for Ally here. The most experienced player we have outside Rankin and Goodwillie, really. Deserves a jersey now that he's back fit. Always makes good decisions in possession, finds space really well, bit of dig about him; can actually defend.

well seems ally love is popular choice to start [emoji106] unfortunately he isnt one of lennons chosen few so doubt he will start hope Im proved wrong

we do need as many goal scorers on the park as we will probably need to score 3 to get a draw
