ForzaDundee
Great result for Glesga City
GordonS
Paid DKK30 - or £3.48 - to watch that on pay per view. An absolutely textbook smash-and-grab performance away from home in Europe. Glasgow can always score goals, but shutting out a very good side away from home is seriously impressive. A few close calls a bit of luck to see the ball come off the bar twice, though generally they weren't overwhelmed. It's even more impressive as Glasgow don't exactly get a lot of practice playing under pressure in domestic games. A great chance now to make the quarter finals, which for any part-time team is a serious achievement.

This is the first season I've followed women's football, and generally, the standard is rotten. City and Hibs away ahead of everyone else. But City still manage to compete, they still seem to retain some of their top players, but may lose them to the semi-pro and pro leagues in England, Europe and America. For City to maintain and compete over the course of multiple seasons, it's a significant achievement.
senorsoupe
Glasgow City appear to be continuing the fine tradition of Scottish Clubs on the European stage and making a mess of it. They had a 2-0 lead coming home to the second leg and Brondby have levelled the tie 2-2, it looks like it is likely to go to penalties
senorsoupe
And Glasgow win the shootout 3-1

DG.Roma
Chuffed for Lee Alexander though, saving 3 consecutive pens to get through after suffering the VAR farce in the World Cup. They'll no doubt get battered in the next round, but good achievement to get this far

This should easily have been something like 4-0 on aggregate to Brondby. Glasgow wildly overachieved to get the win in Copenhagen and to make it through the tie at all.

Granny Danger
Don’t see anywhere else for this, but in the Champions League Quarter Finals Barca beat Real In front of 91,500 fans at the Nou Camp. This smashed the previous record for attendance at a Women’s game by about 30,000. Great news for the game.
