Just seen one of the most shocking refereeing decisions I have ever seen. At the New Farm v West Kilbride game, It was an all Ayrshire West of Scotland cup tie, Game finished 1-1, goes straight to penalties, 5-5 sudden Death, New Farm score 6-5, West Kilbride miss, the New Farm players and sideline all celebrate thinking they have won the game only for referee SEAN WELSH to say no the penalty has to be retaken, his reason being he hadn't blew his whistle(lies)everyone heard it and apparently there is a video to prove it as somone was filming it on their phone, West Kilbride score the retake and eventually go on to win the shootout, Disgraceful is an understatement

I was also at the game and to be fair Sean didn’t blow his whistle, have to wait for the whistle to be blown before you take the penalty kick. Sore one to take and you can understand the frustration, but that’s the law of the game.

During the 90 minutes it was a pretty even game. Only reason I can think of reason that it is to be replayed is that it has been appealed. I was standing with a few guys from the Ayrshire association and they also never heard the whistle being blown. The joys of amateur football.
Wel a few people were adament he blew the whistle as the guy had started his run up to the ball, A suppose they were supporting New Farm and would say that, but a lot of refs wouldn't have ordered a retake. Haven't heard anything about a replay a think eyeswideopen is on the wind up and has Doctored that on his computer

Why would they show one team winning on pens and then say it's to be decided by a replay? Makes no sense, I'm sceptical.

Just to clear this up. The website did say the game was to be replayed. The match Secretary contacted the club to let us know that this was an error and quickly amended. At no point did (or would) the club appeal for the tie. Sean is a good honest ref and if he says he didn't blow then he didn't blow so the penalty had to be retaken. As Duffy says it's hard to take especially at the time but the correct decision was made and not worth anymore airtime.

New farm looking a very dominant force. Can see them taking points off thistle, shortlees and tarbolton easy. Premier looking good viewing for a neutral. I can see thistle winning it and tarbolton and shortlees fighting for second. New farm forth. All very strong sides that are more than capable of winning Scottish

I think NF will do very well. Yesterday without Quigley, Boyd, Howie all missing they were still very good against a top first division team. If anyone is going to steal Thistle crown I think it may be NF.

glenburn are the best team in league.
