port-ton
I read it as we have done really well to get a keeper of his quality in compared to the shambles of a keeper we have currently, not that morton have done wonders gazumping every other team in the league to his signing.
TheScarf
Was thinking Danny Rogers was Danny Ward for a second. Now that was a good keeper.
Sir Tarmo Kink
Rogers must have been at Aberdeen about 10 years now. Seems like he’s always getting loaned out.
Ludo*1
Was he not being kept out the St Mirren team by Craig Samson at one point? Says a lot if he's the best this league has to offer.

Sir Tarmo Kink
For the 3rd season in a row Mark Ridgers has the best clean sheet percentage in the Championship. The OP has him 8th.

36-0 Maroon
I would like to think both our keepers Jamieson and Gaston would rank very high on this list, both fantastic and we are very lucky to have both.
vikingTON
What you’d like to think and the actual facts are two very distinct categories. Dedicated professional as he is, if Derek Gaston was anything better than a lower-end Championship goalkeeper then he a) wouldn’t have spent the best six years of his career at Morton, including a shambolic relegation to the seaside leagues as a backup option in the middle of that and b) wouldn’t have landed at a far smaller and weaker team after he got punted in the summer. A very good addition to Arbroath’s squad but clearly not a top performer in the league as a whole.

Jamieson imo is the better keeper and also has the added bonus of youth on his side, he definitely is top 3 in this division, he already has 4 clean sheets this season and played a huge part in us winning league 1 last year. Some of his saves have been unreal.
vikingTON
If he’s one of the top three goalkeepers at this level then why did Dick ‘dick’ Campbell just spend a decent chunk of your budget to sign Gaston during the summer? For a team with a limited budget and shortcomings elsewhere, that decision makes no sense.
1320Lichtie
Got to admire 36-0 maroon's enthusiasm but I think he can be just a tad over excitable about Arbroath players... [emoji23][emoji23]more realism needed. Love DJ and think he's a good keeper but there's plenty of other good goalies in the league too. Gaston is also a good goalie. DC seems to have put all our eggs into being hard to beat which is why I think we've signed two good goalies. Alloa got lucky being able to get someone as good as MacDonald after Parry got injured. Reckon they'd be doomed if they had to play the number 2 that is there at the moment or a totally different emergency loan keeper.
19QOS19
Liking McCrorie more and more with every passing game. Every game he seems to keep us in the contest with a cracking save or two.

Highland Capital
Mark Ridgers seems to be in the same category as Mark Brown was for us in that for ICT he's excellent but not rated by anyone else. Sir Tarmo Kink
Mark Ridgers seems to be in the same category as Mark Brown was for us in that for ICT he's excellent but not rated by anyone else. He’s never really been first-choice for anybody else to be fair. He’s had a number of clubs but has only been No.1 at ICT, St Mirren (for a short spell), Airdrie (a loan spell when he was younger) and Orlando City B. He was poor to begin with at first but we had to back him as our other choices were the megabucks-earning hilariously bad flapping moron that was Owain Fraud Williams, or youth keepers. Now he’s had the highest clean sheet percentage 3 seasons in a row.
