Bluebrazilcfc
Non existent in midfield, Stirling massively on top, Swann suspect defensively

Bluebrazilcfc
Not a good first half, completely under the cosh. Completely different second half, some brilliant performances but Renton in particular was excellent.
rhliston
Same old story another 1-0 defeat , can’t score a goal, bottom of the league. [emoji53]
vince sinclair
Not a good first half, completely under the cosh. Completely different second half, some brilliant performances but Renton in particular was excellent. Few good performances especially 2nd half. Barr looked the business.Keeper had a fantastic save 2nd half.Pen should have finished the game.
CowdenLoyal
There were a few good performances in the 2nd half after a very poor 1st half. Think we just about deserved the win but it certainly wasn't without a scare or two. Two cracking saves from Dab and an utterly dreadful penalty from Buchanan ensured us of a few unnecessary nervy moments. The referee was absolutely inept too. Rumour has it he started booking our supporters and board members too?Pleased for Swann and Renton. Don't understand why he's not told to try and control the ball more from high balls - we certainly have more success with that than seeing flicked on headers scooped up by the opposition.
cowden boy
If Stirling still had the likes of daz smith we would have been well beaten today, glad they had strikers than dont know where the goal is. Delighted for renton caused hassle all game and took his goal well.

Kierkegaard
First half very scrappy, but turned it around in the second half and deserved the win. Renton was outstanding - his work rate was excellent and his goal was class. My first look at the team: Our big keeper was excellent, Barr was commanding and Pyper did well. Good to have Harvey Swan in the team - he gives us a different dimension, he's too good a player to be on the bench. We could still do with a dominant midfielder (like Toorie) to breaks up the play. When Stirling threw everything at us to save the game, we defended robustly. We're not too far away from being a good side By the way - cracking programmes by the boys - packed with information. Super one for the Andy Mattew Lounge - pure class, as ever
The_Pit_Owns
We were poor first half but Taylor coming on at half time was the game changer - gave more balance to the side. Renton was my Man Of The Match but Robbie Buchanan was excellent today - won so many fouls and worked tirelessly. Dabrowski had two great saves and deserves enormous credit for playing again with an injury. Pyper did very well for the goal.
Bluebrazilcfc
Second half was a brilliant team performance. We looked really solid. But my biggest concern is the lack of opportunities created. agree with the above post, we need a power house in midfield, similar to nicol for them today. Allan was non existent, and we have a very thin squad with Gary seeming reluctant to bring on any youngsters even when Renton and cox where flat out on their feet.
big al
Most re assuring thing is at least we aren’t the shitest team in this league. Thanks Stirling for making us feel better.

Glad to see Swann start, and given MOM! Needs to play every week now and work on his game and application, then next season he can earn a move to a better team if he wishes.

Brazilianlex
Thought we were poor in the first half but Stirling didn’t really threaten despite lots of possession. Second half was much better and good move and finish for the goal. Renton looked a different player once he scored, hopefully will bang them in now. Don’t know what our pen policy is but looks like the player who wins it gets the choice ! Stirling look a poor team at the moment tho they have signed something like 14 players so will take some time to gel but the risk is they could get marooned at the bottom by then.

Home game, only two shots on target, that’s worrying. And the penalty! Buchanan did well to gain it, but that’s the worst attempt I’ve ever seen, he had a good game apart from that. Mullen back next week, so hopefully that makes a difference (if he stays on the park!)
