buddie06smfc
Great result. Thought we played very well, all Goodwin’s signings look good at this early stage. Foley played brilliantly. Aberdeen penalty shout was a nailed on penalty, delighted McLean & his main stand linesman got that completely wrong.

Saint Shug
Foley , Mackenzie and McLaughlin were superb there. Some goal and great 3 points. Stonewall penalty for Aberdeen btw , makes those 3 points even sweeter.

sergie's no1 fan
Dons fans will be seething when they see the penalty claim.About as stonewall as you can get when it comes to hand balls.

Stu
Great performance from us in the first half. Up against it in the second until Mcallister came on and then should have got a second.Looked a stone wall penalty for Aberdeen but really couldn't care. The seething mess of McInnes and the Aberdeen fans about five minutes later when we were correctly given a corner was glorious to see. Also nice to hear Willie Miller greeting and making spurious excuses on the radio. Made a nice change not to concede a late equaliser at home to Aberdeen in shitty weather conditions.
Dindeleux
Well my comment about the signings the other day isn't looking at all silly now.
Guest Bob Mahelp
Took us 30 minutes to realise that playing endless sideway passes between McKenna and Considine wasn't necessarily the best way to score a few goals. By that time Saints had taken the lead and had something to cling onto in pretty awful conditions. The rest of the 60 minutes was one-way traffic but we didn't have the ability or nous to get past a determined 11 man defence. Steven MacLean didn't help by turning down a stonewaller, but that wasn't the reason for us losing. I'd like to see the end of the Scott Wright experiment, and get him f*cked off back to Dundee or Alloa or some team where he can hide and not do too much damage. Curtis Main isn't a target man, and it was insane to play him alone up front with no other Dons player within 30 yards of him. Our squad players....Wright, McLennan, Main, Wilson....simply aren't good enough to have 3 or 4 of them in the side at one time. Let's hope McInnes takes note.
houston_bud
Cant believe that penalty wasn't given. To be fair Aberdeen didn't deserve anything. That's as poor an Aberdeen side I've seen in a long time. We looked good, sat in and defended well when Aberdeen had the ball and broke quickly causing Aberdeen problems.
wastecoatwilly
Aberdeen are struggling to break teams down when the opposition take the lead same problem during the week.
Falcor Roar
Dons played off the park by St. Mirren? Oh well what a shame maybe they are shite after all. -

There's a different feel about Saints this season. We blagged survival last season and will, of course, still be hovering around the wrong end of the league, but we should at least be competitive in the majority of games we play. It's all we really ask for, tbh.

G-MAN
Dons fans will be seething when they see the penalty claim.About as stonewall as you can get when it comes to hand balls. MDon’t worry I saw it clearly 30 yards away in the Stand. Shame the *** of a Ref as usual was his incompetent self.

In honesty though, I've forgotten how good it is to support a football team that are organised and actually play with purpose. For too long we have ambled from match to match , never really looking like we've been doing anything in training. Today, when we attacked, we did so with purpose and we defended manfully. No failures in that team but in particular Foley, Durmus, Andreu and Waters were tremendous. Obika tired badly in the second half but won more headers in 45 minutes than Nazon did in 5 months. Yeah fair play to yous so far in the league. Would rather yous were away from the relegation places this season! Killie last and Hamilton in the play offs would do nicely

It really wasn’t the poorest AFC team mate. We were bad in most parts, been far worse - but definitely deserved a point. Wouldn’t mind seeing the assault on Lewis F again. Wonder if that will be on Sportscene later.
