Week 1: St Johnstone (0-7 v Celtic)

Week 2: St Johnstone (2-2 v Livingston)

Week 3: St Johnstone (2-2 v Hibs)

Week 4: St Johnstone (0-1 v Killie)

Week 5: St Johnstone (1-1 v Aberdeen)

Week 6: St Johnstone (0-4 v Rangers)

Week 7: St Johnstone (0-1 v Motherwell)

Week 8: St Johnstone (2-2 v County)

Week 9: St Johnstone (0-2 v St Mirren)

Week 10: Hamilton Academical (2-3 v Hot Potato F.C. St Johnstone)

Week 11: Hamilton Academical (0-1 v Aberdeen)

This is much more fun when it's at somebody else's expense.

A late equaliser from former St Johnstone superstar Brian Graham leaves the Hot Potato with Accies for a third week. Next up for them, both sides of the old firm, either side of a trip to the Spaghettihad.

Week 12: Hamilton Academical (2-2 v Ross County)

Side note, is that possibly the worst fixture in Scottish Football.. Livi v Accies on that pellet pitch? If they were playing in your back garden you'd shut the curtains.

Accies are at Rugby Park next week.

So they are, I somehow missed a week.

The original #ElPlastico returns, with even higher stakes this time...

It was looking good for Accies after 25 minutes on Saturday - less so after 29. And even less so after 48.

Successive Desmonds mean Hamilton hold on to the Hot Potato. One more week, and they'll be over halfway to matching Saints incredible early season run. Next up after the international break, Rangers at home.

Well I've not updated this in a while, so its been awfully nice of Accies to make it nice and easy on me.

Week 14: Hamilton (1-3 v Rangers)

Week 15: Hamilton (0-0 v Livingston)

Week 16 : Hamilton (1-2 Celtic)

Week 17: Hamilton (0-1 v St Mirren)

Failure to win at Pittodrie on Saturday will see Accies match St Johnstone's early season streak, then a relegation 6-pointer at home to Hearts follows.

A record equalling run from Accies. Up next is a very interesting fixture for the Potato, as it may well spend a significant time with whoever it goes home with on Saturday.

Stendels first achievement in Scottish football may well be bring home the coveted Hot Potato. Or Accies may move ahead of Saints this season.. Such excitement

Well, he's only gone and done it. I saw the nickname 'Stendelbottom' bandied around, however I believe he now answers to 'Stendel-Potato'.

Hamilton send the Hot Potato away with Hearts, depriving us all of the much anticipated Accies v Saints Boxing Day Hot Potato Showdown. You should have seen the write up I had for that one.

Instead we will have to settle for a Not-Just-Bragging-Rights-It's-A-Hot-Potato-Extravaganza Edinburgh Derby.

Who's got the burnie spud now, lads? Surely not Die Berühmten?!?

I don't know what that means but will assume it means Stendel, and in that case yes, it is.

After bowing down to their rivals and then failing to see out the game against Aberdeen, the Potato enjoyed Christmas and New Year in Gorgie. I've heard its lovely this time of year.

Hearts going for 9 too?

Absolutely. Vital next fixture away at Ross County before hosting Rangers. Followed by St Johnstone away, Killie at Home and then a trip to Parkhead. Potential 9th game is Hamilton (H) followed by St Mirren (A) for the record.

Wasn't expecting to see Rangers accept the accolade but it's a very welcome surprise.

This man knows his Potatoes.

A draw away to Ro$$ County saw Hearts return to Tynecastle, where they proceeded to send it home with Steven Gerrards Rangers.

Can they be the first team this season to get rid of it at the first time of asking v Aberdeen? Derek McInnes' league record in Glasgow would suggets so, yes.
