Do we really use these strike breaking c***s?  Sad if true.

When was this gd?

During the Timex strike they ferried the scabs into work in unmarked busses.

Claims they did the same during the miners’ strike but I can’t confirm that.

Wasn't aware of this. That's very poor from United then.

Re Moffat and Williamson, they drove the scabs in Fife and Lothian during the miners' strike, and transported police (and soldiers dressed as police) around the country for Thatcher as well.

The bad publicity led them to consider what steps to take when the Timex troubles arose in 1993. But rather than turn down another request to help scabs, they got buses painted white to hide their involvement.

I had no idea about this. This happened long before I was born but they are based just outside my village so I feel that I should have known this already.

I would be surprised if this wasn’t in doubt. I’m assuming Partick will have covers down? It’s been non-stop and looks like continuing all day.

Utterly pishing it down in Glasgow just now.

Rain supposed to ease from early afternoon so hopefully should be ok.

We’re too poor to afford pitch covers m8

Just get the players and ground staff to lie down and cover the worst of it.  If they bring their own towels they can move round a bit and cover more of the pitch.

Rain forecast to be relentless in Glasgow today although clearing a bit around 4pm, I am the eternal optimist but even I think the game will be off. If I was a Utd fan I’d leave it as late as possible to head down.

If the sfa had any sense they would have a early inspection,to many fans get shafted with late call offs.
