Going by the score seems to have been enough shit in the Gretna defence without the Shire boys chucking more in:lol:

I can remember when Gretna originals were in the 3rd Division watching them beat Shire 8-1 in a midweek game at Firs Park, which featured in Football's Hardest Away Days on  sky, good revenge from that night yesterday.  Living the dream.

Bound to have had the odd week at the top since then. In 79-80 them and Falkikr both went up from the 2nd division so may have swapped places at the top.

To be fair Alan only those who didn't realise how good the standard is thought it was going to be easy for two teams this season. The LL is filled with clubs who can all beat each other on any given day. It is a very good standard and will likely prove to be exciting throughout the season. As will the eos Premier. But clubs who are promoted into the league or relegated into it will have to work hard just to stay in the league.
